Looking at the clock beside your bed, you yawn. It's past 9pm and he still hasn't gotten home. He has been a lot busy lately, what makes your time together decrease. His long practices are tiring, and you completely show how understanding you are when letting everything prepared for him before sleeping.
You scroll on your cellphone, already bored of all the social media you have checked. All of them with his touch. His videos are all over it and you actually can't complain. It's good to see this side of him to remind once again who you are dating. But that is only one side of Mark Lee. The other side he only shows to you. The side of intimacy, vulnerability, honesty, sincerity, and love.
Sounds of drops hit the window drawing your attention. You sigh, bending your lips. "He is gonna take this rain when coming back", you think. The drops become faster until it gets to a constant noise, and that's when you hear the front door opening. You look up from your cellphone as an instinctive smile grows on your face. You bite your lips hearing steps crossing the living room and the keys being dropped on the glass table. A familiar excitement fills your chest as the opportunity of seeing him again comes.
His silhouette appears on the door and he gets in. His figure adjusts with the low light of the room and you can see his eyes already locked on yours.
-Hey... - He lets out a loaded voice of someone tired from a record section.
-Hey... - You answer on the same tone to make him comfortable with the ambient. He takes off his coat, remaining with his white T-shirt, which unfairly suited him so well, and puts it on the hanger. Also, he unbuckles his belt, this time throwing it in a random space on his drawer. - Was your day good? Everything fine? – You ask to check up on him, not wanting to nag him with too many questions. He walks over you dragging his feet.
-It was good. Lot of work though. – He says and throws himself on top of you. You let out a "woof" sound as his weight falls on you.
You fix yourself on bed opening your legs so he could be between them. He takes a deep breath with eyes close and you can feel his arms slowly wrapping your waist. A long sigh leaves his mouth and a cute grin takes place on his lips.
-I waited all day long for this... - He says making your heart skip a beat. A moment like this is not rare for you, but at the same time, it looks new every single time.
Your hands fly to his hair, scratching his head with your nails. You know he loves when you do that. You caress him making circles on his nape. He turns his head down, diving on your chest and making you chuckle.
-Can you even breathe like this? – You ask and he shakes his head.
-No, but it's okay. – His muffled voice tickles your skin and you smile from how baby he gets when he is tired.
Continuing your journey, your hands walk to his shoulders, massaging the area. He seems tense and your touches are doing a good job on relieving that. You lower your head placing a kiss on the top of his.
-Let me warm up your dinner before you fall asleep. - You say slowly pushing him away so you could go to the kitchen, but he whines, pulling you back and making you roll over him, stopping at the other side of the bed. - Mark! Omg, what are you doing? - You say as your laugh is muffled by his chest.
-Where do you think you are going? We're gonna cuddle until we fall asleep. - He says tightening the grip around you and you chuckle.
-Aren't you gonna have dinner? - You ask and he shakes his head.
-I had dinner at the company. - He opens his eyes and looks down at you. A soft smile grows on his lips. His eyes look heavy to be completed opened, but his hand still travels to your chin, lifting it up a little bit. - Now I just wanna my kisses. - He whispers between your lips.
He doesn't take too long to lean down and give your calm and soft pecks. There's no rush. You won't run away from his arms. He came back to you one more time. The rain outside pours violently, but your heart beats at a lazy pace. You feel safe. Protected. Loved.
You could stay like this for hours if he was not so tired, but you don't mind. It's not about what he does, but who he is. You feel his breathing hit your cheek for some seconds indicating that he could already be asleep, but then, his mouth clicks again in another sweet kiss, making you giggle.
You open your eyes, observing his details, and stroking his hair with your nails. He is so perfect. He looks like an angel who was sent in a moment you were never expecting. He brought happiness to your life, and he doesn't even know that he saved you in a very tough moment when nobody else could. Your eyes run by his eyebrows, perfectly designed, to his eyes, with short and pretty eyelashes, then his nose, cutely pointed up, and finally his lips, a little apart as his cheeks are pushed by the pillow. You breathe out, thanking God once again for having him, and unconsciously mumbling an ''I love you so much...''.
Still not sleeping, he looks at you again, taking you by surprise. ''I love you too.'' He says with a serious expression. You never doubted his love, but seeing him saying it so sincerely makes you melt every single time. He leans closer again, this time, pulling your head and opening his mouth. Even tired, he can't help it. He misses you. He kisses you deeply and slowly. Trying to abrade the infinity need of wanting you.
It stops calmly as you two start to finally surrender to sleep. And just like that, another night ends and another morning will begin, with you in his arms.
