Hitting your nails on the table, you stare at your notebook still trying to solve the same homework you were doing for the last 3 days. The teacher was right, that one would be the hardest assignment of all the semester, and the most important one, of course. That's why you decided to do it with your best friend.
You and Haechan met at university and quickly related to one another. You grew closer to a point of doing everything together, and so far, you never really had a fight. Your friendship seems to be so perfect that the others around you always say that you should date.
At first it sounded weird, but it's not like it couldn't happen? You two like each other's company and work well together, so, your mind started to wonder why you had never really felt something, even after Haechan... asked you to give it a chance.
You went on dates with him, which didn't feel any different from what you normally do, since you are always together. But... even if he is so good for you, deep inside your heart didn't run when he tried to hold your hand. In the end, you decided to stay as friends.
You sigh heavily, standing up from the floor of his living room leaving your notes behind and walking to the kitchen. Haechan said he would go to the market to grab something to eat and would be back in a moment, but all of that waiting was just making your head think about things you shouldn't, so it's better to look for something else to do. Opening the fridge, you see a bottle with juice in it, so you take it and also a cup inside the cabinet.
-Hi. – You suddenly hear a voice behind you, making you turn around fast, seeing the boy standing at the door.
-Hi, Haechan. You came back fast. I tried to start the homework, but I couldn't do much. I think we're gonna take longer than we thought. – You say, taking a sip of the drink while watching him slowly walking towards you strangely quiet, grabbing a soda in the fridge. – So, have you thought about the title of our research? – You ask while washing the cup with the sponge.
-Research? Uhm... What was that about again? - He asks, and you frown, confused.
-What do you mean? Our homework. You said you already got ideas for it. - You say, drying the cup with a towel and trying to put it in the cabinet that is apparently taller than you thought it was.
-Homework... Do we really need to do it? Can't we do something else? - You hear his naked feet stepping on the floor as you focus to not let the cup fall from your hand.
-You were the one in a rush to do it. What else could we do if not the homework? - You feel his presence coming closer and stopping just a little behind you, reaching for the cup in your hand, grabbing it and putting it in the cabinet.
The proximity felt slightly different from usual, especially when his hands dropped to your waist and his face lowers to the gap between your shoulder and your neck. Your skin shivers as you turn around in a flinch, catching him just some inches away from you. It took you two seconds to recognize that sharp gaze and bold smirk, now realizing why he was acting so weird out of nowhere.
-Hyuck? - You say, immediately feeling your heart beating faster by the sudden shock. - Haechan said you wouldn't be home tonight. - You move his hands away from your waist, just for him to quickly intertwine your fingers, making your sigh in annoyance.
Hyuck is Haechan's brother. Not simply his brother, but his twin brother. You didn't meet him at the same time as Haechan. It took a while for you to know that there was another one of ''him'' walking around, or that's what you thought. In reality, the only thing Haechan and Hyuck have in common is their appearance. They are identical to each other, but their personalities are the complete opposite. While Haechan was your cute and funny best friend, Hyuck was the one to throw pranks on you, pretending he is his brother all the time, and he gets better in at as the days go by.
