Memories are wonderful things
nostalgic highlight reels
on constant replay
they inspire a tender ache
a pang in the heart
the pushes me forward
to try and make more
without replacing the old ones
Though I suppose it's somewhat sad
that I'm always trying
to relive the past
to get away from the present
and that one day
I'll have to accept
that memories
are all they'll ever be
