Violently shaken awake every morning
the nightmare of yesterday still lingering
the taste of failure on the tongue
consuming pig-slop at the table
waiting for the slave-bus to squeal up to the house
ready to drive us down to the glorified meat factory
to undergo our daily reprogramming
Prison wardens dress in fancy clothes
dishing out punishment with a smile
spoon feeding us a steady diet of conformity
erasing our identity with every bitter bite
snuffing out every trace of hope or imagination
these magnificent institutions

crush our dreams one lesson at a time
shaming anyone who dares to stand out from the crowd
pitting us against each other
like rabid dogs in an underground cage match
teaching us to feed off the defeat of our struggling peers
until we become parasites leeching on lust and pain
They watch us grow older
slowly learning to hate everyone as much as we hate ourselves
suicidal tendencies reverberating in our decaying brains
losing sight of the innocence of our youth
hormones telling us to conquer and fornicate like animals
while we're already getting molested every waking moment
by this sickening excuse for a life they gave us
