HEAVEN

Hell is not a place beneath the ground

it is the prison we build within our minds

brick by brick, forged from guilt, fear, and shame

an echo chamber of regrets

where we relive every mistake in looped eternity

tormented not by fire

but by memory

Purgatory is the lie we tell ourselves to cope

the quiet resignation that things will never change

that hope is a tease

and healing is for other people

it is willful stagnation

masquerading as safety

a waiting room with no door

Heaven is not a reward

but a revelation

it is the breath you take after deciding to let go

to forgive, to heal

to finally unshackle the chains you never realized you held

it is not gifted to us

it is built within us

We are each our own devil

sowing doubt, whispering discord

sabotaging every climb toward peace

and yet we can be our own savior too

if only we choose to believe we're worth saving

redemption begins the moment we stop waiting for a miracle

and become one ourselves
