It's all just a game
following a scripted design
programmed by higher powers
an illusion of freedom
at our busy fingertips
My existence is rather purposeless
but there's an odd comfort in that
I can use cheat codes to exit the boundaries
holding everyone else in place
like non-playable characters
How liberating to realize
that I don't have to play along
I can invest my experience points
into any skill tree I want
until I'm strong enough to clear these unbeatable stages of grief
