                                                  How long 
were you planning the betrayal? 
how could you keep up the lie 
for so many years? 

You hired me as your makeshift therapist 
used me as your personal punching bag 
threw me away like trash 
when it came time to return the favor 

Pretended to have my best interests in mind 
just until you got what you wanted 
gave yourself a pat on the back 
for faking niceness to the overly sensitive freakshow 

You boosted my ego and preyed on my sympathy
just so you could keel over laughing  
at my inevitable downfall 
into emotional instability
