We're fabricating mass-murder 

against every facet of life 

that exists on Mother Earth 

one technological revolution at a time 

and we're taking her down with us 

Disposable plastic rips through her winds 

a reaper gale 

getting tangled in branches 

snatching birds out of the sky 

poisoning the water we drink 

sinking into the depths of the ocean 

suffocating millions of lives 

right beneath our feet 

like the sails of a plague ship 

cruising through a sea of mire 

imprinting chemical trails in the ecosystem 

We're harvesting her organs 

planting pesticides in her soil 

growing noose-shaped crops 

stuffing livestock with regurgitated bile 

recycled products of penance 

shoved down our throats 

festering in our guts 

rotting the flesh from our bones 

We're burning her forests to the ground 

turning trees into dollar bills 

drilling into the crust of her skeleton 

digging up natural resources from her corpse 

hoarding all her priceless gifts 

stolen from the weak and the poor 

The animal kingdom is paying the price 

for the haze of green that blinds us 

those tragic children of nature 

are robbed of their homes 

and nations crumble into the dirt 

as we laugh our way to the bank 

committing genocide to put food on the table 

Mother Earth

has become Mother Filth 

a memento of human materialism 

a decomposing monument of our legacy 

the smoldering stench of her carcass 

is evidence of our guilt 

proof of all our crimes against her 

centuries spent driving ourselves to extinction 

desecrating the land and all her children 

dragging them all down 

into the burial of waste we've made 

just like everything else 

we've ever touched
