...
Thalia watched him from afar, tears stinging her eyes. Months ago she tried to convince Annabeth. She tried. Reminding Annabeth that loving Percy was only going to hurt her, it was all a waste. Joining the hunters would be better. But now, seeing Percy sobbing on the pier, thinking nobody heard him Thalia felt guilty. Annabeth told her she loved Percy, and now. Seeing Percy sob, made Thalia think he loved her too, maybe even more. Taking deep breaths, Thalia quietly made her way next to him.

"Hey." Thalia said, her voice cracking. Percy jumped, but quickly recovered seeing it was just Thalia.

"She's not going to make it is she." Percy cried, bringing his head down to his knees. Thalia opened her mouth, to speak but she was afraid that instead of words there would be tears.

"Yeah, she will." Thalia whispered, her voice strained an almost inaudible.

"Thalia! Even Chiron says so. Chiron!! All because of a stupid monster." Percy exclaimed, tears threatening to spill again. Thalia was quiet, silent tears slowly falling down her cheeks, she stared emotionlessly at the sunset, ignoring the tears.

"You know...about two months ago, before the Titan War, I spoke to Annabeth, about you." Thalia muttered, her eyes glued to the sun, mesmerized. She spoke lazily, like her energy was drained out of her, like she was sleep talking.

Percy looked up, his eyes red and puffy. Seeing a tear streaked face he debated on whether to hug her or leave her alone.

"She told me she loved you. I told her that she wasn't in love. That all you would do is hurt her like Luke did. Hell I even tried to convince her to join the hunters. I tried. I told her you were going to hurt her, leave her. I told her that you probably didn't even love her back, that her feelings for you were going to change. She still insisted though, that they weren't going to change. That you wouldn't turn out like Luke, that you wouldn't leave her. I didn't believe her one bit.

"Now, seeing you sobbing for her. After just being friends for five years. I believe you won't hurt her, like Luke hurt me." By the end Thalia was crying, shaking her head. Terrified. She was going to loose someone else. Percy closed his eyes, hesitantly grabbing her shoulders, he hugged her. At first, they were both very tense and hesitant. But a minute later they both relaxed.

"I will never ever hurt her Thalia." Percy promised and Thalia bit her tongue. If she even lives.

"Yeah..." She said, her head on his shoulder, staring lifelessly at the sun.

"Hey, come over here." Percy said. Thalia stayed frozen, staring at the sun ignoring Percy as he dove into the water. "Thalia!" Percy yelled and Thalia looked at him. "Do you want to look like you've been crying?" Percy said and Thalia rolled her eyes, her normal demeanor back.

"Shut up Kelp Face." Thalia brought her hands into the water, and splashed her face, mixing her tears with water. Soon she felt refreshed and energized.

"Let's go see our girl." Percy promised, coming out of the water completely dry, looking as if he hadn't been crying at all. She grinned weakly at him and they both walked.

...

"What's going on!!?" Percy demanded, seeing that Will wasn't letting them both into her room. Thalia and Percy heard shouting and talking inside and their breathing quickened.

"What is going on!" Thalia yelled, her eyes furious.

"Calm down!" Will yelled and she glared before standing straight head held high.
