"Dad can you please tell us where we're going?" I pleaded. We've been on the road for three hours and I was mentally decaying inside. My legs were getting a serious cramp.

"We're almost there Ken." I leaned back in my chair and I watched as the sunglight skimmed the greenish blue water.

"We're going to the beach." Aiden said plainly.

"How did you know that we were going there?" Dad asked.

"Because we're passing by water and the sign said 'Welcome to Seagulls Cove!' " Aiden explained.

Dad rolled his eyes. "Smart ass." He glared hard at windshield. I laughed lightly at dad's foiled plan. "I was trying to make it a surprise for your sister Aiden."

"Oops," Aiden said sarcastically. I looked out the window as we drove into town. I watched as we passed by bait shops and little souvenir stores. I honestly love these types of stores there so quaint I've always wanted to live in these towns. They always came off as so quiet and peaceful. One day I'm going to live in these little quaint towns I'm going to love every second of it. We pulled into a really nice neighborhood. Then we drove up to a sea green house with white shutters. I looked at dad and raised an eyebrow.

"Get out the car and check it out." Dad urged. I glanced at him skeptically and got out the car. I I rested my feet on the pristine white driveway. as I got out of the car, my knees cracked from being stuck in the same position for two hours. I winced at the pain and groaned in exhaustion. I was too tired for this. I hear distant waves crashing on the shore. I felt a gentle wind danced with my hair. I studied the house intently. it almost felt like the house was built for me. I slowly looked up the roof there was a sign that said 'The Evans' in fancy writing.

"I know how much you like little towns with harbors so I bought a house on the beach," Dad was leaning on his car smiling at me.

"You bought this for me?" I smiled widely.

"Just for you kid and when you get older this will be yours. " He threw me the keys and I grasp them swiftly. My eyes widen at dad. If my smile was any wider I think I'll probably rip my face.

"Are you kidding me!" I yelled.

"No joke kid," He smirked. I sprinted up to him and sprung myself into the air and into my dad's arms. I felt him grunt a little when I landed into his arms.

"Thank you! Thank you!" I said hysterically.

"Kendall..you're heavy as hell and you and I aren't as young as we used to be." Dad panted. I quickly got down and smiled at the ground.

"Sorry," I mumbled. There was a buzz of happiness in my stomach. There is only one person that I wanted to tell and I'm running away from him. My smile faltered a little but didn't go away completely.

"But that's not all I got." He announced. Dad ran to the garage door and opened it. "I'll be right back!" He said and disappeared into the garage for a few minutes. I looked back at Aiden and he was out of the car focusing all his attention on the house. I look down at the ground not letting him know that I was staring at him.

Dad came out with smile along with a new bike. It was a charming mint green with white rims on the tires. "Dad this is awesome thank you so much!" I beamed.

"Aiden don't think I forgot about you." He mentioned. Aiden eyes perked up a little. Dad rolled in a brand new silver bike with his
initals ingraved on his bike. If I wasn't getting a house I would be almost jealous of Aiden.

"Wow! Thanks dad!" He smiled. Aiden jumped on the bike zoomed away. I all you saw was a blur that resembled a boy.

"It felt only ten seconds ago he was right in front of me. Go ride your bike around town see what you think." I nodded and climbed on my bike. I balanced the bike with my legs.
