Joe had kicked Demi out his apartment around midday so he could prepare for the date and so she could get ready. Denise came around with Paul not long later to take Zack, Mason and Nevaeh so Joe and Demi could have the night to themselves. They were both looking forward to having some time for just the two of them just for one night but they knew if it went on for much longer they would just miss the kids. Demi arrived back at Joe's apartment around six that evening as told by Joe being early but not being late.

"What are you doing back here?" Joe smirked Demi laughing pushing him further into the apartment stepping in herself shutting the door behind her. "You look beautiful." He complimented kissing her cheek gently as close to her mouth as he could get.

"You don't look bad yourself," Demi answered kissing his lips gently instead. "Where we going then?"

"Nowhere." Joe answered taking hold of her hand.

"You mean I didn't have to dress up like I have cause we're not going anywhere?" Demi groaned making Joe laugh beginning to lead her through into the kitchen.

"I did text you, I set something up on the veranda since it's summer time." Joe revealed leading her through the door out onto the veranda Demi not helping but smile as she saw what he had set up for the both of them.

She leaned up pecking his lips gently Joe smiling as he laid his hands on her hips kissing her forehead as she smiled too.

"It looks beautiful." Demi complimented taking his hand again leading him over taking a seat Joe sitting down next to her.

"I thought we'd have just as much fun if not more sitting here with pizza and junk food." Joe stated Demi nodding her head in agreement.

"It sounds good, what else have you got planned?" Demi inquired.

"My laptop is charging inside; after we eat we'll watch a couple of movies." Joe stated getting up leaving soon coming back with a box of pizza and some cheesy fries. He set them down sitting down again holding the box out for her to take a slice which she did.

"You remembered my toppings." Demi spoke before taking a bite of the pizza.

"Only cause it's my favourite too." Joe chuckled taking his own slice Demi pushing him gently.

"I was giving you credit then!" Demi exclaimed giggling slightly. "But this is good pizza." Joe nodded his head in agreement passing her a glass of soda.

"I always liked the pizzeria around the corner," Joe admitted. "I often go after work." He laughed as she slapped his arm gently.

"You need to be healthy!" Demi lectured.

"It's just easier when I finish late." Joe defended himself.

"Have you thought more about what you're doing when you go back to work?" Joe sighed shaking his head gently.

"I do want to become a paediatrician but at the same time nursing sounds like something I should be doing." Joe admitted, he would be returning to work in a couple of weeks and has thought hard about what he really wants from his career.

"Just do what feels right." Demi encouraged Joe nodding his head cracking a small smile taking another bite from his pizza.

"Yeah I think I'll probably decide when Charles asks me, it will come to me then. Have you found any jobs your interested in?" Joe questioned.

"No not really, I'm thinking about going back to school for a couple of years." Demi admitted looking over at him. "Train to become a kindergarten teacher." Joe smiled nodding his head.

"I can see you doing that." He encouraged this time kissing her temple gently.
