"I'm going to go phone for recovery and an ambulance, I-I'm going to need you to stay here." Joe stammered slightly trying not to show how scared he was himself after their car had broken down. He didn't want to leave her alone but he needed to phone recovery using the phones on the side of the road not having a number on him.

"Joe you can't leave me!" Demi exclaimed Joe sighing taking hold of her hand properly again kissing her head as she whined slightly.

"I'll go in front so you can see me the whole time okay? Look it's not far." Joe assured her getting out his phone quickly calling an ambulance before he would leave Demi not that he wanted to in this situation when they were welcoming their son.

"Just don't get yourself ran over." Demi demanded as she pulled away front he kiss he brought them in. He climbed out the car jogging over towards the payphone going as quick as he could but he was exhausted himself and he couldn't imagine how exhausted Demi would be going through labour so early now having to worry about not getting to the hospital in time where it was the best place for their son with him being four weeks premature. He only spoke on the phone briefly before they both hung up Joe jogging back towards the car, he helped Demi out and into the back of the car in case they had to deliver their son here climbing in after her.

"How are you doing?" Joe questioned again.

"Horrible," Demi mumbled feeling Joe take her hands again even if her eyes were closed, she wanted to feel him close to her, know what he was here. "What if we don't get there on time, he's already early as it is."

"Just stay positive alright? We will get there on time and Kai will be just fine." Joe assured her switching the heating on. It was February and still a little cold and he needed to make sure Demi was as comfortable as she could be.

"I-I love you." Joe smiled leaning over kissing her lips gently.

"I love you too and our little boy." Joe breathed looking behind him sighing of relief when he saw an ambulance in the distance.

"I-Is the ambulance here?" Demi inquired Joe nodding his head. "Good cause I need to push." She stammered again holding tighter onto his hand.

"You're going to need to give birth where you are," Kelly, the paramedic stated Demi whimpering slightly. Joe had climbed in the other side helping Demi stay sat up as he held her kissing her head every so often but he was scared to and he wasn't the one delivering their baby. "When your next contraction comes along push as hard as you can for me."

"Do you know what you're doing?" Joe questioned knowing he wouldn't know even though he worked in medical, he imagined it would be the same for her.

"Enough to deliver your baby and get you all to the hospital." She breathed Joe nodding his head knowing another paramedic was in the ambulance getting ready for the baby's arrival.

Demi only pushed for fifteen minutes before their son arrived. Without a sound. He was rushed away right away into the ambulance leaving Joe and Demi scared that their son might not make it through this ordeal. They were getting Demi cleaned up as Joe carried on holding her knowing how exhausted she was.

"J-Joe." Demi stammered.

"What's wrong?" He breathed.

"I-I don't feel too good." She mumbled shutting her eyes.

"Demi?" Joe questioned repeating it a couple of times but she wasn't responding to him or Kelly.

"We need to get you all to the hospital as soon as we can." She demanded rushing off towards the ambulance as Joe held a lifeless Demi in his arms crying gently.
