"How are you feeling now baby girl?" Demi questioned after Joe had given her some pain relief, she was now taking some sips of water with help from Joe moving her head when she didn't want any more Joe setting it down on the side for her to have some later if she wanted some squeezing her hand gently, just to ensure her that everything will be okay.

"I don't feel well mommy." Nevaeh mumbled.

"You won't for a couple of days but I promise that you'll be out of here within a week and feel even better then what you did before." Joe promised Demi shushing her as she burst out crying.

"What's wrong Nevaeh?" Demi questioned stroking her hair gently.

"I don't want to leave! I won't get to see Joey!" Nevaeh exclaimed Joe cracking a small smile as he squeezed her hand again but he wasn't harsh.

"You won't see me here at work but that doesn't mean you won't see me at home." Joe stated Nevaeh calming down a little bit looking up at him.

"Really?" She inquire Joe nodding his head leaning down kissing her nose gently.

"Really, mommy and Joey are friends now, once your all better me and mommy are going on a date." Joe explained to the little girl Nevaeh looking between her mom and Joe before settling down on the bed letting her mom wipe away her tears.

"No." She demanded.

"Why not baby girl?" Demi inquire.

"Joey mine." She mumbled making them both laugh slightly.

"I thought you moved onto Matt?" Joe stated.

"Both." She demanded Demi laughing as she shook her head gently leaning over kissing her hair gently watching her get a little sleepy, it's what the pain mediation did in hope that she could get some rest without being in any kind of pain.

"Go to sleep baby girl." Demi encouraged continuing to stroke her hair until she was asleep then sitting back right in her chair looking over at Joe who was just checking on the machines which were ensuring them that she was fine.

"I told you she'd be fine." Joe grinned slightly Demi rolling her eyes.

"I'm just a worried mother." Demi breathed but smiled as he leaned down kissing her lips gently Demi kissing him back, they were both desperate for more of each other. Not sexually but getting to know one another outside of the hospital and soon as Nevaeh was out of the hospital and happy and healthy again they would go on their first date.

"Hey dad how are you doing?" Joe questioned as he entered his hospital room seeing that he was the only one with him. Denise had gone home for a little while not wanting to overwhelm her husband. Paul was getting tests done at the moment then he could go home.

"I'm okay, I get to go home this afternoon if my test results come back good," Paul explained as his middle son sat down next to him. "Nearly dying made me thi..." Paul begun but Joe interrupted him.

"Please don't dad, I don't want to think about losing you yet." Joe begged slightly.

"I'm sorry son but it's going to happen one day, I just wanted to know if I've done everything I could for you?" Paul inquired.

"Of course dad, you've made mistakes as a dad but so will I when I become one. Your only human," Joe answered taking hold of his hand. "Nothing you can do will make me love you any less."

"Thanks Joe but do you think Nick thinks the same?" Joe sighed slightly.

"He does dad I promise, he's just got a weird way of showing it. All three of us love you and mom, we're a family, it's kinda unconditional," Joe assured him helping him lay down again. "I think you need some rest."

"I love you all too." He stated shutting his eyes. Joe smiled as he watched over his father.
