Fifty Seven

Demi wondered down the stairs holding onto Joe's hand for support rubbing her bump gently as she went. She stepped down onto the wooden floor leaning up pecking Joe's lips gently.

"See it wasn't so hard to ask me for help, you're bigger now and I'd really prefer you to not do the stairs by yourself." Joe lectured slightly Demi rolling her eyes.

"Yes dad," Demi complained making him laugh kissing her again Demi kissing him back before pulling away keeping hold of his hand "Your son woke me up loads of times last night stretching and kicking." Demi was twenty-six weeks pregnant now and getting bigger and bigger every day. They found out at twenty weeks that they were having a little boy and couldn't wait to meet him, he was going to be so loved by his parents and older siblings. Zack had been doing well at school and was speaking a lot more everywhere now and not just to Joe but he still had a strong connection with Joe. Nevaeh was her normal bubbly self not afraid of anything or anyone, she was excited to meet her little brother even though she expressed wanting a little sister. Mason was now nine and a half months old now and was babbling but had not yet said his first word. They had moved into their house together and everything was ready for their son to arrive when he did.

"Baby brother okay?" Nevaeh inquired as they entered he kitchen. She had noticed how late her mother had gotten up to than what she usually does.

"Yes baby girl squish is okay for now, he just likes to kick a lot." Demi stated smiling as Zack ran over ruffling his hair gently.

"Feel?" He questioned Demi nodding her head lifting his hands up to her bump smiling as his eyes lit up feeling the baby kick against his hand. His favourite thing to do was to feel Demi's stomach where his little brother was kicking.

"How long until baby brother comes?"

"We've been through this before Nevaeh Lovato, in March," Joe answered tickling her making her giggle pushing his hands away. "Come on Zack, let mommy sit down." Zack ran over to finish her breakfast Demi taking a seat opposite them as Joe set a bowl of oatmeal in front of her, she had been trying to eat healthily for her son.

"This little boy is going to be so loved." Joe breathed as he laid his hands on her bump that night in bed Demi smiling kissing his gently. They had a long day visiting Joe's parents who were just as excited to see them. The kids loved going over there because they were spoilt.

"Going to be? He already is." Demi answered Joe rolling his eyes making her giggle.

"You know what I meant," He mumbled kissing her forehead. "I've been thinking of names." Joe admitted looking over at her.

"I thought we were waiting until he was here?" Demi inquired.

"Well yeah but that doesn't stop me from thinking." He laughed.

"What names have you come up with then?" Demi inquired Joe smiling as he felt his son kick against his hands knowing his father was there.

"Harry, Toby, Kai..." Joe begun but Demi soon cut him off.

"Kai," Demi mumbled. "That's it, that's his name." Joe smiled moving his eyes from the bump to her who had a wide smile on her face.

"Really?" Demi nodded her head.

"Just as long as he looks like a Kai yeah, Kai James Jonas." Demi answered Joe smiling too as he leaned down kissing her lips gently before pulling away.

"Zack came up with the name you know?" Joe inquired it only making Demi smile more laying her head down on his collarbone Joe kissing her hair gently.

"That boy is amazing." Demi mumbled.

"Yeah he is." Joe agreed as Demi slowly fell asleep against him Joe not far behind.
