"I'll come back in a little bit." Kevin told Joe who nodded his head taking hold of Zack's hand who was still tensed up but had settled down a little bit. It showed he trusted Joe even just a little bit. Joe knew Zack would have to come a long way before he was happy again and himself but he wanted to be part of the reason he's helping.

"That doctor is my older brother; you can trust him to make you feel better," Joe stated Zack looking over at him. "This whole place his full of doctors which are trained to make people like you feel better, we're not here to hurt you but make you feel better. Do you think you could let my brother check you over? Then you might leave here soon?" Joe suggested Zack looking back down at the bed sheets nodding his head gently.

"Did you have a nice birthday?" Colton inquired as Demi let him into the house, Demi smiled nodding her head gently.

"Yeah it was good," She saw him grab her hand admiring the ring on her finger. "Joe got me it, I didn't tell him it was my birthday but Nevaeh wanted to make me a cake so told him." She explained taking her hand back when he was done.

"Do you think you guys are going to make official after tonight?" Demi shrugged her shoulders gently leading the way into the kitchen to get him a drink.

"I don't know but he is a really nice guy, I wouldn't mind being his girlfriend," Demi admitted rolling her eyes when he teased her a little bit. "Shut up Haynes, I'll remember this when you finally get yourself a girlfriend." Demi smirked as he glared at her.

"Are you trying to say I can't get a girlfriend?"

"No I'm saying that I'm the one about to potentially be in a relationship not you," Colton rolled his eyes again making her laugh handing him a mug. "Come on, Nevaeh wants you to watch The Little Mermaid with her."

"Again?!" Colton groaned making her laugh.

"Of course, she's only a four-year-old." She grabbed his hand carefully dragging him into the living room without spilling his coffee.

"How is he?" Joe inquired as they left Zack to sleep. He had worked himself up while Kevin was checking him over but Joe was there to calm him down as much as he could but he still didn't trust him completely but nobody could blame the boy as they were slowly learning from what kind of environment he came from.

"His surgery has helped but his ribs must still be sore on him. I think he was pushed down the stairs a couple of weeks ago." Kevin explained but Joe could see some visible wounds they knew he couldn't get from himself or other children, cigarette burns and bruises in the shape of a belt. It was hard for the team of doctors to think about what he had been in.

"Wouldn't surprise me." Joe mumbled.

"I think he won't need to stay much longer here but he'll need to go to a foster home without any children for a while, I'll contact the social worker now to start thinking about finding someone," Kevin stated. "Go home Joe, you booked the afternoon off." Joe nodded his head about to follow his brother out when he heard a scream. He rushed back into Zack's area seeing that he was crying and shaking.

"What's wrong Zack?" Joe questioned carefully sitting down on the edge of the bed, he knew he couldn't settle at home while Zack was like this.

"B-Baby brother." He stammered Joe looking down at him.

"You have a baby brother still at home?" Joe questioned Zack nodding his head quickly.
