"You didn't have to do that for me Kevin, I would have found another job." Joe stated but Kevin shook his head looking over at his younger brother. He would do anything for either of his brothers, even give up his own job but he knew that it was for the best knowing it could be just as good for him as well as his brother.
"I didn't have to but I wanted to. Like I said I can find another job, Danielle works from home and we don't have any children or one on the way to move as well. I already found a job in a couple of towns across and I have an interview Danielle has agreed to move if it comes to it so don't worry about it Joe honestly. It's what's best for the both of us. I'm getting bored here to be honest." Joe chuckled standing up as did Kevin the two of them sharing a hug.
"Thanks, it means a lot." Joe breathed.
"Anyway this is where you met Demi right?" Joe smiled nodding his head. "It wouldn't be right for you not to start your career here."
"I guess so," Joe breathed but he had the biggest smile on his face, he didn't know how he would repay his brother but he would find a way. "I should tell Charles."
"No need, already done it," Kevin stated patting his back then opening the door. "We should get some work done." Joe nodded his head again leading the way out of the room.
"I can't believe Kevin did that for you, you have an amazing brother." Demi stated as they were in the kitchen that night while dinner was cooking. He had already greeted the kids who were playing in the living room with Mason. Joe had phoned Demi during lunch and told her about what happened this morning, he couldn't quite believe it.
"I know," Joe breathed. "But at least we don't have to move now, Kevin said he wanted to move on anyway so it works for us both." Joe smiled as Demi wrapped her arms around his middle the best she could without their son getting in the way Joe leaning down kissing her gently Demi kissing him back smiling through the kiss as it was deepened slightly but it didn't go much further before they both pulled away from one another.
"I love you." Demi breathed Joe smiling pecking her lips again.
"I love you too," Joe answered pulling away from her stirring the meatballs and sauce on the stove so the bottom doesn't catch. "How's school going?"
"It's good, I'm glad I got all my experience done before I had the baby, now I can just concentrate on the written stuff." Demi stated.
"Have you done all your work placement?"
"Not quite but I think all I'll need to do is a week towards the end, Kai will be a little older than so I won't have to worry about being separated for too long." Demi answered.
"I was going to do up his nursery this weekend or Sunday rather since I have a day off." Joe stated Demi nodding her head in agreement.
"You should see if Kevin and Nick want to help, your dad might come too." Demi suggested Joe cracking smile.
"That would be nice and it would get done quicker, I'll call them after dinner," Joe approved. "I'll drain the pasta, go lay the table." Demi smiled as he leaned down pecking her lips gently then picking up the pasta pan.
"Nevaeh! Come help lay table!" Demi shouted, they had been trying to get Nevaeh and Zack to do little tasks like laying the table or clearing away their own toys. Nevaeh soon ran in.
"Can't Kai do it?" Nevaeh mumbled Demi laughing kissing her head.
"I'm afraid not." Demi answered handing her the placemats so she could lay them down on the table Demi following with the cutlery.
