Joe soon put Zack and Nevaeh into bed not long after Mason went and it gave him chance to talk about Demi and what they were doing with his job situation. It had been playing on his mind all day since he had his review with Charles. He understood that things were getting busy and that they couldn't cope without a paediatrician but things were going to get complicated with his working situation now.

"What's going on?" Demi inquired as they sat down on the couch, she had been thinking about it ever since he said there was something they needed to talk about once the kids had gone to bed. She thought it could possibly be serious.

"Charles spoke to me earlier and when I've finished training there will no job for me at the hospital." Joe stated simply not wanting to over complicate it.

"And where will there be a job?" Joe shrugged his shoulders.

"He doesn't know; I mean I could travel in the car if it's not too far but otherwise we might have to move which isn't ideal because we just brought this house and family are over here including your parent's grave." Joe breathed.

"How long until you're fully trained?" Demi asked.

"A month most likely which is why it's hard because Kai won't even be here by then." Joe complained running his fingers through his hair slightly but Demi soon forced them out his hair taking hold of his left hand which was closer.

"We'll sort something out, you might be jobless for a little while but we won't have to move, we'll just have to keep an eye out now. Don't worry about it." Demi stated.

"I can't be jobless for long though with nearly four kids living in the house. Kai will be the most expensive." Joe argued slightly but not in a harsh way.

"I said don't worry about it because you'll have a job soon, you're a talented doctor and will be just as great with the children as you were when you were getting your experience. Someone close by will give you a job" Demi assured him squeezing his hand smiling when he leaned down kissing her gently before slowly pulling away.

"If you're sure." Joe breathed Demi nodding her head.

"I'm sure." She answered smiling as he kissed her again before he pulled away completely pulling her into his side his hand laying on her bump as they cuddled while watching TV together before they would go to bed themselves.

Joe entered work the following morning feeling a bit better about his future career, that he will have a job to be in when Kai was born and they could have a steady income while Demi was still at school to pay for the four children and themselves. He changed into his required uniform before he made his way to Kevin's office where he was doing some paperwork.

"I'm with you today aren't I?" Joe inquired Kevin nodded his head.

"Come in and shut the door." He demanded softly Joe doing as he was told taking a seat opposite his desk where he was able to do his paperwork.

"What's up?" Joe inquired.

"I heard that you won't be working here after you've finished training." Kevin stated Joe sighing nodding his head gently.

"Yeah someone is starting on Monday." Joe answered.

"Well I've given in my three weeks' notice." Kevin revealed.

"Why?" Joe questioned.

"So you can have my job, I can move if I need to but it's a bit harder for you. I know it's a big deal but I sort of feel as if I need to move on." Kevin explained himself.
