Fifty

Joe and Demi wondered hand in hand into the restaurant they had arranged to meet Colton in. Demi hadn't seen him in a little while so she was looking forward to catching up with him a little bit. They could tell him that her and Joe were expecting a baby. She knew he would be excited and happy to become an uncle again, she was close to him and would always want him around.

"He's got a girl with him!" Demi exclaimed Joe laughing.

"Why is that so amazing?" Joe inquired squeezing her hand.

"Because he didn't have a good last relationship, he's been single for like six months." Demi answered as they made their way to the table where they both stood up shaking hands as Colton introduced them to his new girlfriend, Willa. They ordered drinks and their meal before they settled down properly.

"So how did you meet?" Demi questioned laughing as Colton rolled his eyes knowing she was getting excited over meeting his new girlfriend.

"We met in the street, she dropped her purse so I picked it up and gave it to her." Colton shrugged his shoulders Demi smacking him rubbing where she had.

"You're such a guy." Demi complained.

"Excuse me?" Joe questioned Demi laughing grabbing hold of his hand kissing his cheek gently. "It's a good job you're beautiful."

"Don't worry I agree." Willa stated Demi smiling, it was nice to have another girl around to be one her side a little bit. She had always just got on with boys more.

"We actually have some news ourselves," Demi admitted keeping hold of Joe's hand. "We're having a baby, I'm five weeks."

"Aw!" Willa exclaimed making them laugh.

"Congratulations, I bet Nevaeh is so happy to be a big sister." Colton stated.

"We haven't told the kids yet, we thought we'll wait until the twelve-week scan when we know the baby is okay." Joe explained.

"We don't want to give them any false hope." Demi added.

"Makes sense, how old are the other children?" Willa asked.

"Nevaeh and Zack are five and Mason is about six months now, I'm fostering the two boys." Joe answered, he knew he was going to adopt them one day.

"A bit of a funny age." Willa stated.

"Willa was nice." Demi decided as they drove towards Joe's parent's house to pick Mason up but also spend some time with Denise and Paul.

"Yeah she was, they seem like a good couple." Demi Joe agreed keeping his eyes on the road but leaned over kissing her gently before he looked forward again.

"He deserves to be happy after his last relationship." Demi mumbled.

"What happened?" Joe questioned.

"They were together for about a year when he found out she was cheating on him with one of his friends. She had been going behind his back for about three months. He had his suspicions but I convinced him to actually do something about it."

"That must have been hard." Joe breathed Demi nodding her head.

"He was down about it for a long while." Demi replied as they set off again joining the highway the two of them staying quiet the radio on quietly in the background. Joe couldn't help but smile as he saw Demi rub her stomach gently where their baby was growing.

It all happened quickly when they saw a car break ahead the car behind not seeing crashing into them. Joe broke suddenly the car sliding forward on the wet pavement.
