A strong gust of wind blew into the trapper shack as Bam stepped in and closed the door. He deposited an armload of wood in front of the stove and placed a tin basin full of snow on top of it. After feeding the fire in the stove as quietly as he could, he stripped off his hoodie and jeans, crawled back under the covers and gathered October in his arms.

"Good morning, Lover." October murmured as he pulled her back against his chest. His beard tickled her skin as he nuzzled the side of her neck.

"I thought you were still asleep."

"No, I was enjoying the view of your butt in those jeans while you were bent over the fire." She replied saucily. Bam laughed and tightened his arms around her. "You're cold." She stated.

"I can think of a good way to warm up."

October rolled over to face him. "We're going to be late for breakfast." She grinned. He brushed his lips lightly across hers.

"I'm not really hungry for breakfast."

Bam and October entered through the front door of the main cabin to find Ami, Birdie and August busy in the kitchen. "Good morning!" Birdie sing-songed. "Auggie's teaching us how to make perogies."

"Yeah, we've already got in half a day's work while the two of you had a lie-in."

October skirted around the table to kiss August on the cheek. "We were up with the sun." She replied, while stealing a slice of cheese off the counter.

"This is December in Alaska." He replied. "The sun doesn't come up until ten-thirty." He sprinkled some flour on the table and slapped a ball of dough on top of it. "By ten-thirty I had already taught your mom and sister how to pinch dough seams." He directed towards Bam.

Bam's lips twitched as he lowered his voice to August. "By ten-thirty I had already-" a small piece of dough smacked Bam in the chest and then dropped to the floor. "Dude, that's my sister." August warned as the corners of his mouth started to curl up.

Bam bent to swipe the lump of dough off the floor. "I was going to say, by ten thirty I had already got wood." He grinned at August.

"I'll bet you did." August retorted. "And I just threw up in my mouth."

Ami and October were standing next to each other at the sink trying to stifle their giggles as the two men traded light-hearted barbs. Birdie stood across the table from them, arms folded across her chest, and rolled her eyes. "Okay!" She said loudly. "We get it. Would the two of you shut up?" Bam and August both swung their heads around to stare at Birdie, who blushed slightly at the sudden attention. "Seriously, you two are really starting to piss me off!" She said quietly.

"Oh ho!" Chortled August. "Princess! I think I like you even better now!" He laid a floured hand on her shoulder and have her a quick hug.

Bam threw his hands up in disgust. "I give up!" He said with a smile. "You two are nothing but trouble." He narrowed his eyes at August and Birdie.

"Trouble is my middle name." August replied, starting to knead the dough on the counter.  Birdie laughed and resumed mashing potatoes in a large pot on the table.

"No, it's true." October piped in as she accepted a steaming cup of tea from Ami. "His full name is August Trouble Hunt. Like I said before, our parents were hippies."

"Then what is your middle name?" Birdie asked October curiously.  October made a face.

"It's Sunrise." August answered before October could.
