"No." October said firmly.
Bam held both her hands between his palms and kissed her fingertips. "That's what I thought you would say."
Bam had relayed to October the discussion he'd had with Myra the previous week. They had been discussing it since they left the terminal and 'Dan the camera man' (as Bam had started calling him) had left for the day. They were now sitting on the couch in the living room of the apartment that Bam shared with his brothers.
"Then why did you even bother to ask me if you already knew what my answer would be."
Bam slid his arms around her waist and pulled her into his lap. "Because you are your own person and I don't speak for you. I wanted to give you the opportunity to make your own decision."
October snuggled into his chest and stroked his beard. "Are you disappointed at my answer?"
Bam chuckled. "No. Of course not. Like I said, it's what I was expecting you to say."
"So now what?" October asked.
Bam shrugged. "Now, I just go back to Myra and tell her you said no."
"Do you think it's that simple?"
"Why wouldn't it be?"

October was glad to be back in the company of the Brown family. Although she would never admit it, she had started to feel quite lonely when she was back home. August was so caught up in his work and his relationship with Robert that she hardly ever saw him anymore. Of course, she had been travelling a lot since Christmas with work but although she was around a lot of people a lot of the time, they still weren't like family.
She enjoyed chatting and joking with everyone at dinner. She was so busy catching up with Ami and Rainy that she didn't notice how quiet Bam had become until he put his hand on her leg under the table and squeezed. She stopped talking mid sentence and turned to face him. Her forehead creased in concern. "You ok?" She whispered. Bam nodded without looking at her. He moved his hand up higher on her thigh. Her features softened. "You want to get out of here?"
Bam gave her a sidelong glance and the corners of his mouth turned up ever so slightly into a saucy smirk. She tilted her head and flashed him a grin. "Then let's get out of here." She whispered, squeezing his hand back.
They made their regrets to Ami and begged off before dessert was served. October apologized for not staying to help with the washing up but Ami simply waved her off with a knowing smile.
Bam pulled October out the apartment door and into the hallway before she had a chance to bid everyone goodnight. "Bam, you're very impatient." She chided gently.
Bam pressed her up against the corridor wall as his mouth crashed down over hers. She gasped into his mouth in surprise as he nudged her lips apart with his tongue and aggressively explored every part of her that she surrendered.
He tore his mouth away and drew a ragged breath. "You were away too long. I don't want to share you. I want you all to myself." He murmured possessively. She clutched at the shirt on his chest and looked at him with lust blown eyes. "Than take me home and make me yours." She whispered.
Bam nodded and obeyed her command.
