So I missed putting a few things in the last chapter before I published it the first time. If you read Chapter 49 before 7pm MST on Saturday, May 21, you need to go back and re-read the last chapter. Sorry! I had a bad cold and was hepped up on Buckley's cough syrup! Now back to your regularly scheduled program.

"Myra!" Bam's angry voice bellowed through the trees.
"Cut!" Myra yelled and turned to glare at Bam. "We're working here! Can this wait?"
"No." He said firmly. "This can't wait."
Myra yelled for break and stalked over to where Bam was standing.
"What is so important that you had to speak to me right now?" Myra huffed.
"What is the meaning of this?" Bam leaned forward and glared at her.
"Whatever do you mean, Bam?" she said with a sickly sweet grin.
"Bambi!" He replied through clenched teeth. "You had to bring her all the way out here? It wasn't enough for her to fawn all over me in Seattle?"
"I promised you a reunion, didn't I?"
Bam cursed loudly, not bothering to hide his contempt.
"Now, could you throw your little hissy fit in my absence? I've got to finish this scene before we lose the light and I've got to hire a new photographer."
"Sorry?" Bam asked, not quite believing what he'd heard.
"Quite alright. No need to apologize, Bam. I understand that you're frustrated."
"No, I wasn't apologizing. What did you say about a photographer?"
"Oh." Myra waved her hand. "Toby quit this afternoon. Not for you to worry about." She glanced towards the crew. "Have you read the script for tomorrow?" She asked. "Bam?"
She turned back to look at him only to see that Bam had taken off running toward the beach.

"Bam." Bambi called before he reached the edge of the tree line. "Where are you going?"
"Not now, Bambi!" He yelled.  Beyond the trees Bam could hear the motor of the skiff start up. Her hand shot out and grabbed his jacket as he tried to rush by her.
"Bam, slow down." She flashed him a saccharine smile. "You'll trip and get hurt." She admonished. Bam closed his hand around her wrist and yanked his jacket free of her grasp. His eyes glittered with so much hatred that she physically shrank away from him.
"You stupid, insipid, shallow, little girl." He ground out. Her pupils dilated in fear. "If you ever touch me again, I swear on everything that is holy, I will make you wish you never left Seattle." Her mouth dropped open but she never said a word as he threw her hand away from him and turned back toward the beach.
It was too late. By the time he got to the water's edge, the skiff was long gone with October in it.

"Thank you for taking me to town, Bear. I know you risk the wrath of Bam if he ever finds out."
Bear took October's bag off his shoulder and dropped it on the sidewalk at her feet. "He won't. I've got someone running interference back on the island."
"Who?" October questioned, wondering who else might be brave enough to risk Bam's temper on her behalf. "Is it Matt?"
"No." Bear shook his head. "It's not someone you know."
October looked at him, searching his eyes for a clue. "It's a girl isn't it?" She whispered conspirartorily.
Bear smiled and tried to hide his blush. October giggled and clapped a hand over her mouth. "Who is it? Not that blonde sound tech."
"You haven't met her before. Her name is Rosanna. She's really pretty!"
October noticed the sparkle in Bear's eye. "Is she an extreme princess?"
Bear nodded, his blush deepening. "She's a for sure princess. I don't know how extreme she is. We can't be seen together so we haven't got to climb a tree together yet."
"Bear! You're not supposed to fraternize with the crew." She chastised with a grin.
"Yes, well you and Bam didn't pay a lot of heed to that rule."
The smile vanished from her face. "Yeah, a fat lot of good that did." She said bitterly and looked away.
"You know I voted in your favour." Bear said quietly, making October swing her head back his way.
"You're the second person who's said that to me today. What does it mean?"
Bear frowned. "He never told you."
"Never told me what?" October questioned.
Bear shook his head and pulled her in for a quick hug. "You'd better go. The next ferry is in twenty minutes."
"Bear." October said warningly.
"Take care, October." Bear turned and ran down the sidewalk, leaving her watching after him.
