Batteries not included by LadyAstor

Melanie has a pretty freaky life. She lives with her gay older brother and his boyfriend because her parents fight so much they should join WWE. Her best friend has the friendliness of a blank piece of paper. Now, her eye patch wearing ex-boyfriend is back, with some unknown motives and seems to want to rock Melanie's world again. And it looks like he brought along his giggly and pregnant girlfriend. Also, who is this really sweet, but kinda clueless, guy that pretty much just dropped out of the sky? What is that thing on his arm and what's up with his eyes? And what does the world's biggest medical company and an ex scientist have to do with him?

Prologue

I really like the prologue as it gives us some insight on what the stories about. You describe the characters well, but I want to know more like what does the atmosphere smell like, what does he taste, what does he hear and what can he feel? You have a few grammar issues but it’s not too bad. I like the concept of the story and how you have done your research for it.

Chapter one

I also really like this chapter too, as you introduce mystery with this Zachary guy which leads the reader to ask who is he? What happened to him? And so on … I also like how you have a decent length for your chapter. I would like to know more about what the characters look like though and show more of their personality as I feel their a bit dry at the moment. Good luck!

Over all I think this is a good sci-fi book, you obviously know what you’re talking about! I give this book a 4*.
