2 - Intro to Livi and Katie

Livi's P.O.V

"Hey Livi do you want to go shopping today?" Katie shouted from the living room.

"Yeah sure but aren't you meant to be meeting Joe?" I asked walking out into the living room.

"Yeah I was but he cancelled last minute as he is seeing an old friend who's visiting so looks like my schedule has been cleared" She smiled.

"Oh okay, yeah sure just give me 10 minutes then we can go" I said walking back into my room.

Katie's been my best friend since I was 12. Throughout the last 6 years we've always been there for each other so much so that we're practically sisters. We met at an orphanage, not the best place to end up at 12 years old especially considering I was there after my parents unfortunately passed away. Katie had been there about a year before me and then we spent the next 6 years there together.

From the minute I first spoke to her I knew we would end up great friends, and we did. We also met a lot of people at the orphanage, we don't stay in contact with many of them though which is a shame but I guess they've all just moved on with their new lives.

In a way I'm glad I was never adopted as that would mean I'd have to leave Katie and she's a much better family than any of the parents who came to visit. I suppose where I had no other siblings Katie was the closest thing I had to a sister and I wouldn't have wanted to replace her with some random girl that I would then have to consider family. My real family is dead and the rest live too far away from LA for me to visit so Katie is all I have but we have each other and that's all the family we need.

I turned 18 a few months back and Katie turned 17 so it was time for us to leave the orphanage and after saving for the past 4 years we had managed to gather enough money to rent an apartment. Its not big or fancy but its perfect for us.

I love living in LA, I have great friends and a really amazing boyfriend, Alfie, but there's just something about England that I think would be amazing so that's why Katie and I are hoping that we can attend a dance academy there. But anyways Alfie and I met when I was 17, he started working in the place I worked, but we've only been dating for about 6 months. We were really good friends when working together and it just went from there really!

I love having Katie around but it's always nice to have that one person who you really connect with and without Alfie life wouldn't be right. The good thing though is that Katie has Joe so we both have someone that cares about us. Katie and Alfie are the only parts of my life who I know won't change, I just need to work on getting dance on to that list as well!
