"Im going out and I'll be back in a few hours" I shouted through the house as I made my way to the front door and picked up my house keys as I knew Gemma would be out when I returned later.
"Wait" Livi shouted after me and I turned round to see her running out of the room we were currently sharing still attempted to pull her jacket on "Ill come with you."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I haven't been out the house in days and I think it would be nice to get out for a bit, only if thats okay with you."
"Of course it is" I smiled.
"Do you mind if we visit some of our favourite places here as apparently I havent been here in a while."
"If thats what you want to do then sure" I replied as I followed Livi out the front door.
"So where to first?" she asked me.
"Well how about we go to the beach just to chill for a bit and if you like we could walk past the orphanage on the way, we dont have to go in, just go by it" I suggested.
"Yeah I'd like that."
Whilst on our way to the beach Livi and I talked a lot about our old life here as Livi seemed to remember the majority of it but we also talked about our life in London because after being here for just over 2 weeks now I think Livi is a lot more comfortable talking about it. I guess you could say that I've sort of adjusted to being back here, not like Livi though who is acting like we never left, although I know that can't be helped as she genuinely thinks we never did actually leave.
"Oh my god its so weird to be here again" Livi said as we walked up to the orpahange and sat on the wall opposite it.
"I know, its crazy to think we were there so long ago now."
"Its been almost a year since we left hasnt it?" Livi asked.
"Actually its almost been 2 years" I corrected her.
"Oh yeah, sorry I keep forgetting."
"Its okay" I said reassuring her and she smiled.
"Okay so shall we head to the beach now?" I asked as I jumped off the wall, Livi just nodded in response as she too jumped off the wall and began to walk ahead.
Once we reached the beach we sat and chilled for a couple of hours and it made me realise that this is one thing I miss about being in LA, just being able to go to the beach whenever I want to and spending time with Livi, just the two of us. However all the good things about living in London definitely outway the good things about being here.
"So, wanna go to our old apartment?" I asked Livi as we made our way out the sea and back onto the beach.
"Sure."
After gathering all out things we made our way back through the city towards our old apartment. Obviously we weren't expecting to be able to go in but we just wanted to go past the building as we hadn't been there in a while.
"It does feel strange being back here, but it also feels like I never left" Livi said as we approached our old apartment building.
"I'm guessing your not finding this as weird as I am then" I replied.
"No not exactly."
"Hey isn't that Joe?" Livi asked as she pointed towards a boy walking out the doors.
"Uhh yeah I think so" I replied after having to do a double take to make sure it really was him.
"Why don't we go say hi" Livi suggested as she grabbed hold of my arm and pulled me along with her.
