102 - One Step at a Time

Livi's P.O.V

"Hey Livi, are you alright if Brad comes round today, I know you said you didn't want to meet any of the boys but he is a big part of my life and I really want you to meet him" Katie said coming in to my room and sitting on my bed with me. I thought for a second but there was no way I could say no to her. Katie gave up so much for me when I made her go back to America with me and I can never thank her enough for doing that for me. I know the thought of meeting those boys scares the hell out of me but I want to be the friend Katie is to me for her, so of course I am going to say yes. Also, Brad is a huge part of her life and I want to be involved in Katie's life as much as possible and I kind of want to meet him anyway...

"Of course, I'd love to meet him" I smiled and her and she instantly smiled back.

"Seriously? I don't want you to feel like you have too" She quickly said and I shook my head.

"No, I want to meet him, put a proper face to this person you've been talking about for the past month" I laughed.

"Thank you" She smiled hugging me, "It means a lot."

"I'd do anything for you" I smiled, "Well, almost anything!"

"He'll be over in about an hour probably so you might wanna get out your pj's!" Katie laughed as she left my room. I had been sat in bed all day, I really could not be asked to get up considering I wasn't going to be doing anything. I feel like now I've lost my memory there's nothing I can do. Like I have to just sit and wait for it come back. Although I know I shouldn't. I got out of bed and made my way over to my cupboard, I'd only unpacked a few days ago but I was starting to get used to being in London now, well being in this apartment. I quickly changed in to some jeans and a top before throwing a hoodie over the top. I ended up getting back in to bed as Brad still wasn't coming for a while.

"Hey Katie" I called through the apartment and soon she appeared at my bedroom door.

"Yeah" She said as she leant against the door frame.

"If Oscar is our dog, why is he living next door?" I asked and Katie laughed.

"Random question" She laughed as she sat on the end of my bed.

"Sorry, everything I think about is a bit random right now."

"No it's fine! Basically, after the crash and you wanting to move back to America George said that it was ok for Oscar to stay there, Oscar would stay there when ever we went away so George and Megan said it was no trouble."

"That's so nice of them, we really did have a good life here..." I smiled.

"Yeah we did, we still have that life, you know that right, it's waiting for you when you're ready" She said and I smiled.

"When's this amazing boyfriend of yours coming round then?" I asked getting out of bed and putting my laptop on my desk.

"Any minute now" Katie smiled, "He's bring pizza."

"Well he's won me over already" I laughed as we walked through to the living room.

"Hand's off he's mine" Katie laughed walking to her room.

"Alright" I laughed flopping down on the sofa with my hands up in defence,then there was a knock at the door, "Katie, Prince Charming's here."

"Thanks" She laughed walking to the door and opening, "Hey Brad."

"Hey you" He smiled wrapping one arm round her as the Pizza was in the other. After he let go he walked in to the apartment to the kitchen with Katie and put the Pizza down. The guy that was stood in our kitchen looked really familiar to me. I don't know where from but I'd seen him before and not just from those photos Katie showed me. There weren't many that she showed me of this guy, but seeing him in person, I knew him from somewhere...

"So Livi, this is Brad" Katie smiled as they walked over to the sofa.

"Hi" Brad smiled standing with Katie in front of the sofa.

"Hey" I smiled and then there was a silence, "We really couldn't have thought of a non awkward way to do this."

"I'm sorry, how are you feeling?" Brad asked sitting down on the coffee table.

"I've been alright, you know, scared to shit for about a month but you know, slowly getting better" I laughed and he smiled.

"Good to know you still have your sense of humour" He smiled as Katie brought the Pizza over. We talked and got to know each other as we made our way through the pizza, the more we talked the more familiar he became.

"I'm sorry Brad but the more we talk the more I think I know you..." I said and Brad looked at Katie.

"Well, I was in the hospital room for a bit after you woke up, was it from there?" He asked but I shook my head.

"Apart from the guy who was leant over me when I woke up, I don't really remember what the other people looked like, or what you looked like" I said, "I just, I know I've seen you before, at some sort of field with lots of people? I don't know..."

"No Livi, last summer we went on tour with the guys, to festivals, they all take place in fields" Katie smiled and I frowned.

"But I don't remember anything or anyone else..."

"That doesn't matter, it won't all come at once" She said, "but at least it's coming." After that we changed the subject back on to getting to know each other again, or at least me getting to know him. Brad was really nice, to meet any boy out of those ones Katie goes on about, I'm glad it was this one.

"So Livi, have you thought about going back to the academy?" Brad asked and Katie nudged him whispering don't but I stopped her.

"No Katie it's fine, I should think about going back to school..."

"Wow, really?" Katie asked and I nodded.

"Before today I don't think I would have but after meeting Brad and not freaking out, I feel like I might be able to do this" I nodded.

"Livi that's great" Katie smiled.

"Maybe you'll even be ready to meet the other guys" Brad said and I stopped.

"No" I suddenly said feeling panicked, "I can't do that, I'm sorry Brad, Katie knows this... I want to get back in to my life but I can't be involved in your pop star life with a group of boys who know everything about me and I don't even have a clue what they look like right now."

"Woah Livi it's okay, we're not going to make you" Brad said, "I didn't mean to panic you."

"That's okay" I nodded, "I just think it's best we keep everything about them away from me, I'd rather you didn't tell me there names as well."

"Livi, we promise, Brad will be the only one you meet" Katie said and Brad nodded.

"Thanks..."
