50 - The Truth's Out

Livi's P.O.V

"Thanks for asking us to come along" Jack smiled as Katie and I climbed into the back of his car. We were going go karting with the boys today and thought we'd ask Jack and Finn to join us so they could get to know the boys a bit more.

"No problem, we're glad you're coming" Katie smiled back.

"Good because that could have been awkward" Jack laughed and Finn punched him in the arm.

"Stop being so weird" he laughed at him shaking his head.

"People obviously like me just like this though even if I'm weird" Jack protested.

"Yeah but they prefer me, don't you girls" Finn winked in the interior mirror. We both laughed, let's be honest they were both gorgeous but I guess I did like Finn that tiny bit more...

"I'm not getting involved in this one" Katie laughed and soon the conversation had swapped to how good we all were at go karting. We soon arrived at the go karting place and walked into the building to find the boys waiting for us.

"What took you so long?" Tristan moaned as we walked in.

"It's nice to see you too" Katie laughed.

"And we're only like 2 minutes late" I said pointing to the clock.

"Anyway, we've already told them we're here so we just have to go and put on the very attractive suits and helmets" Connor said and we walked over to the rack where the suits were. We all pulled on a helmet and a suit quickly and then got taken through how to drive the karts and everything like that.

"I am so ready to beat all of you!" Tristan exclaimed as we all got taken to the karts.

"Ok well now we have to beat him" I laughed as he got in his kart.

"Totally agree" Finn nodded "However there's no way you'll beat me!"

"Oh really, and why not?" I said putting a hand on my hip.

"Because I am the best at this" he winked.

"Well, you haven't seen me drive yet!" I laughed back and put my helmet on.

"Bring it on" he laughed, as I got in my kart. The light turned green and we all speed off the start line. We went round a few times and although Tristan claimed to beat us all, he was towards the back! Currently, Finn was in front, Brad was second, and Katie and I were close behind him. Brad hit the side and I quickly passed him closing in behind Finn. I was behind him for a while until he went too far round the corner and I manage to pass him. We continued like that for a while and then Katie over took Finn as well and was close behind me. At one point she was in front and then it all swapped round again. Connor was even in front at one point, no one knew where he came from! We were on our last 30 seconds and Finn was in front with Brad and I just behind. We were getting close to the finish and I was so close behind Finn. However, we finished with him still in front! We all pulled up and got out of our karts.

"Oh yeah, we both know I've won!" Finn said as we walked over to the leaderboard.

"Tell you what, if I win, I'll buy to a drink to make you feel better" he smiled.

"And if I win?" I laughed.

"Humm, I'll admit you're better at driving than me?" he suggested.

"Well there's no way I wouldn't agree to that" I laughed shaking his hand. I looked round and saw everyone sat down at a table. Brad, Katie, Tristan and Jack were all sat on one table with Connor and James on the other. However James was sort of slouched in his chair. I was about to go over there when I felt Finn pick me up by my waste, lifting me just off the floor and spin me round while yelling.
