10 - Fancy a Hug?

We've been in Santa Monica for a week now and it is so nice plus I defiantly think Katie feel better now as well. She's hardly thought about Joe since we came here so looks like Alfie's plan worked and I know I'm here to make Katie feel better but I still kinda miss Alfie..

"Ready for the beach" Katie yelled from the bathroom.

"Yeah I'm just getting my stuff" I yelled back and ran round our hotel picking up a towel and some money. I had my bikini on under my clothes and my sunglasses on, we're going to have breakfast on the beach front and then spend the day on the beach.

"Ok let's go" I smiled walking over to the door. Katie came out of the bathroom and then we walked down to the lobby. I put on my sunglasses as we walked outside and then headed to the beach. We wondered along the sea front before going into the little cafe we'd been rather fond of this past week and once we were inside we sat down and ordered our food.

"So, another day on the beach?" I asked.

"What else would we do!" Katie laughed.

"I can't believe we've been here for a week already" I sighed.

"Ugh, I don't want to go home" Katie sighed.

"Oh well, we have another week here, so let's enjoy it" I smiled as our food was placed in front of us. We ate our breakfast before going down to the beach. We didn't really go in the sea as Katie doesn't really like it, I didn't really want to go in on my own and I wasn't that bothered about going in anyway. We spent most of our time relaxing on the beach and working on our tans.

"We should probably think about getting some food" I said looking at my phone for the time. We were both lying on the beach on our towels with our headphones in.

"Where do you want to eat?" She asked taking out one of her headphones.

"We could put our stuff back at the hotel and then go to the pier to eat and go on a few of the rides?" I suggested.

"Yeah let's go!" She smiled and we both jumped up collecting our stuff before quickly running back to the hotel. We dropped our stuff in our room before grabbing some more money and anything else we needed. We then went back downstairs and started walking to the pier.

"Shall we go on some rides first?" Katie asked.

"Yeah, don't really want to be sick on the rides do we" I laughed.

"That would not be nice" she laughed back. We walked round trying out a few rides before deciding that we would have some lunch.

"Shall we just eat at one of these stalls?" Katie asked.

"Yeah, we don't need to go anywhere fancy!" I smiled and we walked over and both bought a burger and some chips before sitting down on a bench facing the sea.

"What shall we do now?" I asked.

"Let's just wonder around a bit, we haven't done much shopping yet" Katie smiled, if I hadn't of done this trip to make her feel better I would be protesting for us to be doing something else. But as I'm such a good friend, I will go shopping and not complain. We started wondering along the sea front again looking in a few shops. Nothing caught our eye so we didn't buy anything. After a bit more walking we came across a 'free hugs shack'.

"Hey girls, fancy a hug?" One of the people working there asked.

"Why not" Katie laughed and hugged the guy.

"Do you do this all day?" I asked them.

"Yeah, your welcome to join us" the girl who was with him smiled.

"Shall we?" Katie asked.

"Sure" I laughed as they handed us an apron each. We then spent the rest on the day working at the free hug place! We had a lot of fun actually and the two people that work there were so nice. We chatted with them all day and agreed to come back the next day.

"Ready for bed?" I asked as we walked back into our hotel room. We ate dinner at the hotel and then decided to just go back to our room.

"Yep just a second" she said from the bathroom. After about 5 minutes she came out and I turned the TV off. I turned off the lamp on my bedside table and Katie also did the same before getting into bed and not long after we were both asleep.

Authors Note

so we realised that we don't really ever write authors notes but we just never really know what to put here but the vamps will be introduced in the next chapter so sorry that its taken a while for us to actually put them in the story but they will be in it a lot more now.
