Katie P.O.V

For the third day running I was led awake in bed at 5 am. I tried my hardest to sleep but whenever I was left alone in a room my thoughts overtook and I ended up crying myself to sleep only to wake up several times throughout the night. Brad, James, Connor and Tristan were luckily staying in London this year for christmas so had kindly let me stay in their apartment. I slept on an air bed on the floor of their living room and that's where I spent most of my time, either led in bed or sat on the sofa watching TV. In fact the only times I'd left the living room is to get food or go to the bathroom. I didn't mind though and in all honestly there was nothing else I could do because the boys were never around. They all went home the first day I was here to see their families and exchange gifts. They returned the next morning but since then they've been doing last minute work in the studio and today is their first day off.

After laying in bed for a few more hours I crawled out of bed at 7 am and headed into the kitchen. I decided to make breakfast for me and the boys to say thanks for letting me stay here and also for putting up with my constant crying and need for advice. I've had to tell them all the story individually as they are never here all together and they've been so supportive, Brad especially, and even though I know they don't want to take sides and get involved they have still done their best to try and solve it.

"Katie I didn't expect to see you here" Connor said as he walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table.

"Oh hey Connor."

"Hey" he replied in disbelief.

"I thought I'd make you guys breakfast to say thanks for letting me stay here."

"Well it looks delicious, thank you" Connor smiled.

"Your welcome" I replied as I placed a plate of pancakes on the table and pulled a chair out to join Connor.

"So what made you decide to join us?" Connor asked.

"Well I guess I'm just tired of feeling sorry for myself and I needed to at least try and do something other than watch TV."

"Well it's good to see you" he smiled.

"Anyways what are your plans for Christmas?" He asked.

"Oh umm well I hadn't really thought about it" I mumbled.

"Katie it's Christmas Eve!"

"I know but I'm just not ready yet and if it means spending Christmas away from Livi then I guess I'll have to deal with it."

"Okay I understand, your welcome to stay here."

"Thanks Connor" I smiled.

"Well I'm gonna go have a shower because I need to do some last minute Christmas shopping" Connor said as he stood up and walked towards the door.

"Of course you do" I laughed.

"I've been busy okay."

"Okay" I smiled.

"Just to let you know the others won't expect you to be in here so they'll probably end up coming down in their boxers and if your lucky they'll be wearing a T-shirt."

"Thanks for the warning" I laughed as I started clearing away the used plates and laid out some more for the others to use.

"Oh and Katie..."

"Yeah" I asked turning me head.

"It's good to see you happy, I've missed your smile."

"Me too" I replied as Connor left the kitchen and I followed behind.
