93 - I Can't Leave Her

Katie P.O.V

"Anything?" James asked as I walked out of Livi's room and I just shook my head as I let the tears silently fall.

"So she has no idea who we are?" Tristan asked.

"Or that she lives in London?" Connor added.

"She doesnt even know what year it is" I sighed.

"So what does she remember?" Brad asked as he ushered me over and I went and sat on his knee.

"She remembers everything up to about a month or so before we went to Santa Monica" I replied and they all looked at me shocked.

"So what now?" Tristan asked. I looked over to James who was sat down against the wall with his head in his hands.

"Honestly, I have no idea" I shrugged, "I know you want to see her but I don't think that's a good idea, not yet anyways."

"But Katie.." Connor started to say but I stopped him.

"Just give me some time and I'll fix it" I said.

"I don't think you can this time Katie, she doesn't have a clue who any of us are, it's like the last year and a half means nothing to her anymore because she doesn't even remember meeting us" James snapped before standing up and walking off.

"Ignore him, he's just tired plus he's trying to get his head round this" Brad said and I smiled and nodded in return.

"Wait a minute" Tristan said as he stood up and walked over to sit in front of us.

"What?" We all asked confused.

"What's Livi going to do when you go back to Australia? She doesn't know anyone here...well she thinks she doesn't anyways."

"Well that's easy" I replied.

"What do you mean?" Brad asked me.

"I'll be here for her."

"But what about Australia?" Connor asked me.

"You really think I'm going back there after this?"

"Well..." Connor sighed.

"No, I'm not going. I can't just leave her here when she has no idea what's going on. I need to be here for her until she begins to remember things, that's if she does."

"Katie you can't just..." Brad started to say but I cut him off.

"No Brad I refuse to go back there and leave my best friend, I don't care about the academy anymore and I'd really appreciate it if you would respect my decision for once" I snapped before standing up and walking into my room, slamming the door behind me. I walked over to the bed and led down on my front so my head was buried in the pillow. I'd completely forgotten about my broken ribs and collar bone so as you can imagine lying on my front caused me a lot of pain. Slowly and carefully I turned onto my back and closed my eyes and I stayed like this for about 10 minutes until I heard the door to my room open and I slowly started to move before flopping back down again.

"Katie" Brad whispered as he placed a hand on my shoulder. I quickly opened my eyes an sat up before throwing my one arm that wasn't in a sling around him and pulling him into a hug. He too gripped onto my waist with one hand whilst he drew circles on my back with the other. It's something he always does when I'm upset and I've grown to love it, it always gives me a warm feeling inside and somehow makes me feel just that little bit better.

"I'm sorry" I mumbled.

"It's okay you don't have to apologise."

"But I do" I replied as I loosened my grip from around him and shifted myself so I was sat cross legged on the bed, "I shouldn't have taken my anger out on you when all your trying to do is help. I'm just worried about her that's all and I haven't even thought about what you guys might be feeling, especially James, and i just need to make sure that you know I probably won't mean anything I say at the minute, especially when I said that you never support my decisions because you do, your always there for me when I need you and it's only now that I've realised that."
