Woohoo, my first entry in this new Wattpad update book! How exciting!
Not so much when you figure out that I'm eating lunch at the same time (or should it be brunch, since I didn't eat breakfast this morning? WHOOPS). But anyway!
So as I mentioned in the introduction, I have an orchestra concert coming up in less than a week now! I've always loved being involved with something that involves music. Music had pretty much shaped my entire life since I was barely 5 years old, and now I have in my arsenal two performance degrees in piano and violin, and quite a bit of experience playing trumpet too.
Yes, guys, I play trumpet. A girl plays trumpet. As weird as it sounds, it's true.
But I'm straying away from the fact here. We're going to be playing so much music in the concert next week, and last night we sloughed through--plowed through, more like--all of them! Some of our repertoire includes Dvorak's Slavonic Dances (no. 1 and 8), Tchaikovsky's Capriccio Italien, Borodin's Symphony no. 2, and two alto saxophone concertos.
Add on the fact that this is my debut concert as concertmaster of my school's orchestra! Yup, you heard me right. This is my first term as concertmaster--first time being one, really--and I'm super pumped and excited! Of course I still need a bit more practice, but I'm sure we can pull off this concert just fine!

But I'm really excited! In the past we've played things like the Romeo and Juliet Overture, Beethoven's 6th Symphony, and Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique. Yes, wonderful classical music indeed.
Anyway, on that note, I better finish up my lunch, get working on a spatial analysis project, and pack up for the trip home. I'll see you guys again on another update soon!
