I feel that most of these Joy posts would revolve around music. But you can't deny, since music has been one of my earlier joys in life, in the end it would always be the one thing that would make me happy no matter the time.
Anyway! So...today, I returned to the community orchestra as a volunteer.
Before I continue, allow me to take a step back into history and tell you what I mean by "returned."
I was a part of a community orchestra since I was 12 years old--the name I won't spill, but I've been around for around 8 years now and let me tell you, it's been quite a blast since then. Though the beginning, I'll admit, was pretty rough (I started in second violin and kind of felt alienated from everyone who was way older than I was, plus I didn't really practice...), it kind of got better from there and now I've been regarded as a pretty valuable member. I've been called back every year so far to help them out with reinforcements, filling in for trumpet parts and violin parts that needed to be filled and stuff.
It's all in all a lot of fun, considering the people I'm working with and the amazing times we have together. A greater plus is that the conductor is (or should I say was? I don't know...) my violin teacher, so we get along well.
Anyways, all those aside--finally, after so many months, I finally get to lay my hands on my trumpet again! And I've also been given a few first violin 1 scores for some string-only pieces and pieces which had sufficient trumpet parts as well...so I got a chance to reunite with my instruments and play the pieces that they would be playing in the June Annual Concert. Most of the repertoire I've played before in previous concerts, but then there were some new ones that I had to keep my eyes peeled for. And I'll be honest, I'm definitely looking forward to new challenges.
So I'm really pumped for what's to come! :)

A Glimpse at my Emotions
RandomHey guys! So...I've been thinking about this, and after a bit of debate and deliberation I thought it's about time I published an actual book to all my updates to my life. This won't be like my rants book in any way. Rants can remain rants. If I get...
