Hey guys! So...I've been thinking about this, and after a bit of debate and deliberation I thought it's about time I published an actual book to all my updates to my life.
This won't be like my rants book in any way. Rants can remain rants. If I get...
So...I just came back from an epic day on Niagara-On-The-Lake, and boy do I have a lot to say about it!
It was a pretty rainy day overall, but it was pretty fun. And tiring. First thing we did was go to a farm after arriving there (an hour's drive from home) and picked some peaches and plums. Now, when I say plums I don't mean the purple ones--I mean the tiny yellow ones that pack a sweet and sour punch when ripe. Well, okay, they're not super tiny, really, but they still have a ton of flavour in one bite--they're really fresh. Then there are the peaches--the real stars of the show with their sweet and tangy taste.
We only got one hour to pick them all, though--this farm set time limits to how long one could stay at the farm, and also they charge us for how much we picked. In the end, we got four HUGE baskets full of peaches and plums, and we ended up paying more than I expected. But it was all worth it! We eventually got to share a few with close friends when we got home. Not to mention, we were sweating so much--hey, even my shoes and feet got super dirty from the grass and all. But what can you expect from someone who lives in the city who barely has much experience in picking fruits?
(Side note: My sister said that the reason we filled the baskets so slowly was mostly because we were being a bit too judgmental. Consider it almost like a trip to the supermarket.)
Here are a few pics I took within the hour.

Then we went to the main street--Queen Street--and yes, I would admit I had to get more Pokemon GO on the way since today was the huge Pokemon GO Fest in Chicago and the challenges went global. But apart from spinning PokeStops and battling in gyms and capturing more Pokemon, we went to this amazing restaurant and I got this delicious lasagna. With a side of Caesar salad, or course.

Then we got Cow's ice cream! Cow's ice cream was founded in Prince Edward Island in 1983, and uses Canadian dairy to make their sweet frozen treats. Niagara-on-the-Lake has one of their very few franchises, so we went there (of course) and I got a double-scoop "Cownadian Maple Syrup" ice cream on a waffle cone.

But then the rain began to pick up as we went to the lake later on, so we ended up going home after.
Apart from the rain though, I thought it was a pretty good day.
(Another side note: Watch the media on the top. This singer on America's Got Talent was seriously talented--and I just found the video today, and HOLY CRUD SHE IS NOW MY INSPIRATION.
