Troye's POV

It's been a rough couple days. Staying at the hospital. Connor leaving me. I don't know where our relationship stands but, it's something. We kiss and stuff but, maybe that's him not wanting one just to comfort me. I stay with my mom everyday and night.  Talking with her. "Troye. You have to go to school tomorrow you preform." My mom mumbles out. "Don't worry about that mom. I am fine." I say. She moves her body. "Troye look at me." She says in a stern voice. "You are going to school tomorrow and you are singing that song. You two are meant for each other and it would make me feel good and better if you two were together." My mom says. I sigh.  "Mom I don't know what we are." I say looking down at my hands.  Connor at school right now. Messaging me every 10 minutes. He's worried yes I know. He loves me I don't know that.  I am just I don't know what I am thinking. "Okay." I say and then look down. "Connor will enjoy it.  I know you two will do very good." My mom says. I nod and then lean back and close my eyes. I know I fall asleep. I just dream and dream to escape reality.

A kiss on my lips. I shoot up and look at Connor who is kneeling down in front of me. I look to my mom who is sleeping. "What time is it?" I ask rubbing my eyes. "It's 3:30." Connor says and takes my hand. "Connor. Tomorrow is the performance." I say and he nods. "I know. I bet your mom is making you come to school?" Connor asks and then wipes his eye and I see his eye that was covered up.  I touch it lightly.  "Did Tyler do this? What did he want?" I ask really worried. "Hey don't worry about it.  I am fine. I put him in place." Connor says and kisses my hand.  He is just being nice to me because I am in pain. "Connor is this just an act?" I ask wanting to know.  "What this?" He asks and points back and forth. "I thought it was something." Connor says. Oh thank god. "Me too." I say recovering. He then nods. He pulls me up. "You need to eat." Connor says. "No not now. She might wake up and need me." I say and he stops bringing me towards the door. I look down. "I can't leave her." I say and start to tear up. "Sure she left me sometimes but, she is my mom. I can't lose her." I say and Connor pulls me into a hug. He then slowly walks me to the chair. He sits down and I sit on his lap. I cuddle up to him my legs against the arm rest. My head just slightly on his shoulder. "Connor I love you." I say and then he kisses my hair. "Troye I love you too." Connor says and then. I look up at him. "I know this isn't the time or place to really ask this but, I can't wait anymore. Troye will you do the honors and be my boyfriend again?" Connor asks.  My eyes filled with shock.  Of course I want to yell. "Yes please." I say desperate. He kisses my forehead. "Okay."   Connor says. I slowly close my eyes again. Tomorrow is when I have to preform in front of the class. The piano I have it. The vocals I have it.

All I remember is Connor taking me with him to his place. He places me in my bed and I cuddle up to him. He rubs my back slowly. I wake up to Connor getting ready. He does his guitar up. "Con." I say and he looks behind him. "Yeah." He says and then sits on the bed. "I am scared." I say and the he moves closer to me. "You will be fine Tro. Your voice is amazing." Connor says. "Yeah I know." I say and then look down. He moves closer to me. "Just sing to me." Connor says tilting my head up to look at him. "Okay." I say and then I slowly get up to change into different clothes. I haven't really left the hospital for almost a week. I change into Connors clothes. Then I close my eyes. I take a beanie. Our beanie as I like to call it. I slowly get ready waiting for Connor.  His mom slowly comes to him and hugs him. "You are such a good kid Connor." His mom says. Then she comes over to me. "Troye you ate so strong for your age." His mom says. I smile and then we walk out of the house.  My once safe haven. Now it is once again.

We make it to school and the bell rings. I put my things in his locker.  "You will do great okay?" Connor asks me. I nod and we walk into the class. The teacher smiling. "Hi Troye." The teacher says. I nod and look at Connor he grabs my hand slowly.  We sit down and wait for our turn to be called. "Troye and Connor?" The teacher asks. She sets up the smaller piano. I bring the seat up. Connor opens his guitar and looks at me. He nods. "Sing to me baby." Connor says and looks down at his guitar. I put my hands on the piano slowly getting my placement right. I play the introduction everyone silent. "I smell heartbreak on my hands. I feel sick as I begin to stand." I sing out. Then go to the next lines. "I write this trying to forget it I feel this emptiness in my chest." I sing out. Connor playing along. The lyrics coming out.  "Please bathe me now wash me clean just set my heart on fire like gasoline bathe me now wash me clean just set my heart on fire like gasoline." I sing and the smile I keep playing. "I wake up the morning after you call but I don't answer I can't look you in the eye. No matter how hard I try. You deserve forever not a boy looking for better."I sing out. I keep signing.  My high note soon. "Ohhhhh." I sing out then I hit the eyes and breathe. "So bathe me now wash me clean set my heart on fire like gasoline. Bathe me now, wash me clean. Just set my heart on fire like gasoline. Bathe me now wash me clean. Just set my heart on fire like gasoline." I sing and then hit then last cords of the song. Connor finishes everyone is silent.  He looks at me and then smiles.  "For me?" He whispers I nod.  And then we stand up to bow.  Everyone standing and clapping. We go take our seats. "Wow Troye I didn't know you could sing good. Do you sing all the time? Where did you get the lyrics from?" My teacher asks. "I only sing in front of people I know and I am not ready to share that just yet. Only the person it's meant for knows." I say and then smile. I turn to Connor looking at him. He hugs me and then I realize now I have to focus on my mom. No matter how hard everyone says not to.
