"Elsa!" The bouncing, red headed Anna came skipping into the room and stood in front of her sister who barely seemed to notice her. Elsa sat in her throne like a statue and seemed deep in thought. "Elsa!!!" Anna said louder and now poked at her, waking Elsa out of her trance. Elsa's head snapped up and she had the most startled look. "Elsa, what's wrong?"

"You startled me." She said back, sitting up straight in her chair.

"I'm sorry but I meant what's on your mind? You seem to be out of it."

"It doesn't matter." Elsa muttered, straightening and fixing the long train on her shimmery blue dress.

"You're lying." Anna taunted and stood in front of her with one hand on her hip.

"No," Elsa said and wouldn't look Anna in the eye, knowing she'd break under her stare. "I'm not."

"You're freezing your chair and the wall, Elsa."

"Dammit." Elsa cursed under her breath and looked up at Anna with her intimidating, icy blue eyes. "Anna," She started and felt her powers becoming overwhelming, she still didn't trust herself not to hurt anyone. "Please leave the room, I don't want to hurt you."

"You won't hurt me." Anna said and knelt down in front of her, she seemed to be shaking and it couldn't be from the cold. "Please tell me what's wrong. I'm worried about you."

"It's about Hans." Elsa confessed, bringing Anna to shudder at his name.

"What about him?" Anna asked through gritted teeth. Hans was still such a touchy subject even though she had Kristoff now.

"He's escaped from the jail cell and his brothers, a few of them, are coming to take him back home."

"What?! How could he have escaped?" She asked, her eyes widening.

"The guards opened the cell to feed him and he knocked them out and escaped. I don't have any idea of where he could be." Elsa said, throwing her face into her ice cold hands, becoming so frustrated with the whole situation.

"He could be in the castle! He could hurt us or Kristoff." She said and began raising her voice, she stood up to her feet and started pacing.

"I'm sorry, Anna. I want to go out looking for him. I want you and Kristoff to stay in the castle and make sure you're both armed with something and have a guard with you at all times."

"Elsa." Anna said, standing still in front of her. She rolled her eyes at Elsa becoming the older sister protector mode. "Wait," She said and realized what she said about leaving. "You can't go after him! You could be killed."

"I still have my powers and like you said my powers are no match for Hans."

"When are planning to leave then?"

"Early in the morning. I'll be taking two knights with me and we'll all be taking a horse."

"I don't want to lose you like mom and dad."

"I'm not going overseas. Hans can't kill me, Anna. I'm quicker than he is."

"But he's stronger."

"Enough, Anna." Elsa said and became even more frustrated, feeling the ice spikes behind her growing.

"I'm going to find Kristoff." Anna said and stared at the ice spikes momentarily then back at Elsa. "I don't want that monster to hurt anyone ever again." Anna snapped, making sure not to direct it at Elsa. She stomped her way out of the room and down the halls in search of Kristoff.

"He's not a monster." Elsa said to herself after Anna had left the room.

About an hour or so later after sitting in her throne Elsa unfroze the throne and thawed the wall. She stood up from the chair and started to make her way out to her bedroom.

"I found Kristoff." Anna said from down the hall, Elsa turned around and saw both Kristoff and Anna walking up to her. "Kristoff was having a pillow fight to the death with Olaf." She grinned and they both giggled, Kristoff bringing Anna closer to him and ruffled the top of her hair. "We decided that we want to go with you tomorrow."

"I have to go by myself if I want to find him or at least have him listen to me."

"He won't listen to anyone. He's power hungry and will do anything to take Arendelle." Anna said and started to sound annoyed.

"He can't just take Arendelle." Elsa said and stood with her hand on her hip, slightly talking with her hands. "He has to kill me, which will be difficult, and then after doing so he has to come kill you and I'm sure Kristoff wouldn't let him lay a hand on you." Elsa said and smiled at Kristoff.

"She's right." Kristoff said to Anna and laid a hand on her shoulder to comfort her. "Anna, I wouldn't let him touch you."

"I know," she nodded, looking down at her feet. "But I'm still allowed to worry about my sister. She's the only family I have left."

"When I leave in the morning you'll be in charge." Elsa said and kissed her sister's forehead. "I love you, goodnight."

"Goodnight." Anna muttered, crossed her arms and refused to look up.

"You're so stubborn." Elsa laughed and Kristoff smiled and agreed quietly, not wanting Anna upset with him. "No matter how bizarre this sounds... I want you to sleep in Anna's room tonight to protect her from Hans. Please lock the door, windows, balcony doors. Everything. Hans is clever and will find anyway to get into the castle." She said and took a quick, silent breath. "I want her safe, Kristoff. I trust you." Elsa continued and Kristoff nodded, taking Anna's hand and they started walking towards her bedroom.
