Elsa woke up before Hans and slipped out of bed and into his washroom. Once she went into the washroom and she fixed her bed head up before he could see it and slipped quietly back into his bed.
She laid back down onto his chest and inhaled a little, taking in his scent. It was calm and it smelled nice, a little musky but it was his smell.
"Good morning, my beautiful fiancé." Hans whispered and squeezed her against him. "I saw you slipped out of bed." He whispered and she sat up. "You woke up earlier to make your hair look nice?" He smiled and tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
"I wanted to look nice for you." She smiled and embarrassingly blushed.
"You always look nice to me." He said and kissed her briefly. "Would you like to get dressed then go tell Anna and Kristoff about our engagement?"
"In a bit. I want to stay here for a little while." Elsa whispered and laid her forehead against his and closed her eyes. She wrapped her arms around his neck and climbed into his lap with her head resting against his chest.
"I am perfectly okay with this." He said and held her tightly to him to keep her as close as he could. "I love you so much. I love holding you, kissing you and just spending time with you. You're just perfect to me." He said and kissed the top of her hair. "I'm beginning to shut out everyone else and your opinion is all that matters anymore."
"Have you ever been in love before?" Elsa asked after awhile. She had been wondering this since last night but she couldn't hold in the question anymore. She wanted to know if anyone else had any part of his heart.
"That's a difficult subject. I was loved but I never loved her back. I don't think I let myself accept her love so I never loved her back." He said and sighed quietly. "She's no longer even on my mind though."
"When was this?"
"After I left Arendelle a few years ago. She was the only one who didn't see me as a monster and she told me she loved me but I just blew it off."
"Oh." Elsa nodded and squirmed slightly, definitely uncomfortable that someone else loved him beside herself.
"Elsa, it's all behind me. I broke our ties off when I came here."
"Why? You were supposed to be leaving a few weeks after you arriving."
"Actually... Part of me coming here was for you. I couldn't stop thinking about you and I had a dream where we..." He stopped and then sighed, as if he was embarrassed to continue. "Where we were married and had children who were very adorable and had your magic and after I had that dream I wanted to see you. I wanted to try to be with you and see if there was any chance."
"Really?" She asked and pulled away to look at him, a small smile across his face. "You know when I met Alan he told me that he recognized me from a painting you had bought."
"He told you that?" He asked and scratched his chin, feeling the stubble of his beard. "I bought the painting when I saw the man painting it. It's of you standing with your back turned near a lake, you can see your blue dress and your braid tossed over your shoulder. I think that's why I like your blue dress so much."
"Can I see it some day?"
"Sure. Whenever I bring my things over from the Southern Isles." He shrugged and lifted her up and off of his lap and got out of bed. "I'm going to get dressed." He said and looked into his wardrobe for an outfit for today. "I should go get dressed too. I'll meet you downstairs then we can tell them?" Elsa asked and climbed her way out of bed and over to the tall, dark wooden door.
"Yep." Hans smiled and picked out a pair of pants. Elsa left the room quickly and Hans could hear her light footsteps down the hallway. He picked out a deep red shirt and light brown pants for the day and quickly dressed himself then put socks and his boots on for the day. He went into the washroom and brushed his hair and styled it back then applied his deodorant and slipped his way out of the washroom.
Hans arrived downstairs in the dining room for breakfast and saw Anna and Kristoff sitting at the end of the table. Anna was sitting there feeding Mia with a baby bottle and Kristoff was doing the same with Conner.
"Good morning." Hans said and waved to them with a small smile. He walked over and grabbed his plate then went over to the breakfast buffet and picked out his choice of breakfast food. "How were the kids over night?"
"Just be happy you sleep halfway across the castle and away from the infirmary. They woke up five or six times." Anna said and looked sleepily at Hans.
"It was exhausting. Any time Mia would cry, Conner would be woken up or vise versa." Kristoff said and remained looking down at Conner.
"How was your night?" Anna asked.
"It was really good, actually." Hans smiled and scooped a spoonful of eggs into his mouth.
"Good morning!" Elsa sung from the doorway and came in wearing her blue dress that she made at the ice castle, only it didn't have the train.
"Elsa! You look beautiful." Anna smiled and gawked at her sister. "You took the train off?"
"Yes, it's a hassle to carry around. I can always put it on again though." She smiled and beamed in her dress. She looked over at Hans and he was staring at her and smirked. He knew that she wore that dress on purpose for him.
"You look beautiful." Hans said and smiled.
"Thank you." She said and picked up her plate and began to scoop up her breakfast food for herself then walked over to her chair. Hans stood up quickly and pulled out the chair beside him for her and once she sat down he scooted her chair back in. "Thank you." She smiled at him and looked over to her niece and nephew. "They're adorable."
"They're cute now but holy terrors at night time." Anna said and smiled at Elsa. "I'm so tired I can't even think straight."
"Would you like me to take them for the day?" Elsa offered and took a bite from her strip of bacon. "Anything I can do to help."
"You can't take them, I wish but you can't. I have to breast feed."
"How are you feeding them with bottles then?" Elsa asked and pointed down at the bottles.
"There's this pump that takes the milk and I just have to pour it into the bottles but it hurts and makes me sore." Anna said and took the bottle out of Mia's mouth momentarily to wipe her mouth then started feeding her again before she started whining.
