Later on in the day Hans snuck up to the open door of Elsa's study. He peeked in quickly, making sure not to let her see him. She was quietly focused on a stack full of papers and was signing one at the moment. Hans sat outside of the door, unsure what to do. She was avoiding him all day and would probably continue to avoid him until she ran out of excuses to make.
Hans sauntered into the library and took a seat in front of her, staring up into her blue eyes. She looked up at him briefly then back down to her paper and signed a line at the bottom.
"Hi," Hans whispered and picked his chair up and moved it closer to her desk. He rested his chin in his hands and placed his elbows on his knees. "You can't avoid me now." He said smugly.
"I don't know what you mean?" She teased and smiled at him quickly. "I've been busy." She said and placed the piece of paper off to the side.
"Uh huh." He said and rolled his eyes. "You've been avoiding me all morning."
"I don't see why I would be."
"I told you I love you." He said and watched as she looked up at him slowly then went back to reading a packet of papers. "Elsa." He said and reached over the desk and grabbed her hand. "Look at me, please. I don't want to beg." He said and made a pouty lip at her and cocked his head to the side.
"Hans." She mumbled and looked up into his beautiful green eyes. "Okay." She said and sighed, closing her eyes. "I have been avoiding you after you said that. It scared me completely."
"Why?" He asked and walked around her desk, sitting back on his knees in front of her. "I meant what I said though." He said and watched as she opened her eyes. "I love you with every little part of me." He whispered and watched as her eyes seemed to sparkle.
"I'm afraid of getting hurt though." She said and could see the true affection in his eyes when he was looking at her.
"I will never hurt you. I've told you this. I will never hurt you physically or emotionally." He said and held her hands tightly. "I love you so much that if I lost you I'd feel out of place and lost. I've spent a majority of my life trying to kiss my parents asses and trying to just find a place that made me feel home." He said, his voice slightly cracking. "You are the only person that has ever made me feel wanted and at home. I don't care what anyone thinks of me anymore except you." He said and watched as Elsa began to smile a little. "Say something, please." He mumbled.
"I've never heard you open up like that with me." She said, still smiling. "I'll need time to mull over the whole I love you thing though."
"You've had all day... I'm sure you've thought about it already."
"I have but please don't rush me to answer you."
"I'm not trying to at all. I just want to know how you feel." He shrugged and smiled at her.
"Well." She said and cupped his chin with her hand. "I have deep feelings for you that I've never felt before. It scares me but I need to think about what these feelings are. Okay?" She asked and kissed him quickly but passionately.
"Okay." He nodded and smiled. "Will you sleep in my room again tonight? I don't have nightmares when you're sleeping beside me." He whispered to her.
"Of course I will. I like sleeping beside you."
"Your bed hair is beautiful." Hans said sarcastically and kissed her quickly. "I'll be right back, okay? I have to go talk to Anna."
"Why?" Elsa asked, furrowing her eyebrows slightly. "I think she's sleeping."
"I'll go check but I'll see you later." He said and stood up, leaned forward and kissed her forehead, completely avoiding her question. Why was he going to see Anna?
"Bye." Elsa mumbled and went back to her busy work.
