"So tell me, what happened with Hans?" He asked while he was cooking up the chicken.

"He just wanted to spend some time with me but couldn't because the restaurant was completely full."

"Why didn't you just come to the castle and eat?"

"I suggested that we did. He said Anna and Kristoff would be here, I guess." She shrugged, feeling upset about more than just Hans but missing her parents again.

"You seem upset about something else though too." He said and walked over to her and stood closely beside her. "You can tell me, I won't tell a soul."

But you'll go and tell Leo everything else, Elsa thought to herself.

"It's just my parents, that's all. I just miss them a lot today because of the carnival." She said and felt hot tears behind her eyes.

"I'm sorry that they passed away but just imagine that they're smiling down at you. I'm sure they're proud of you for running Arendelle all by yourself."

"I just-" She started but threw her face into her hands and felt tears running down her cheeks. "It's just all so much right now." She said, barely audible.

"Hey, don't cry." He said and grabbed her chin, bringing her to look up at him. "Do not cry, Elsa." He whispered and wiped the tears from her cheeks with his thumbs. "You're a beautiful, strong woman. You can handle practically anything and I know that now." He said, looking down into her big, blue eyes and began to lean down to her level to kiss her, for some reason Elsa wasn't pulling away and he wasn't going to pull back either. He laid his hands on her hips, pushing her back against the countertop and they both closed their eyes, waiting. He wanted this and more from her for awhile but she wanted none of him, she only wanted Hans to be like this with her but this was close as she could get to Hans at that moment of weakness.

"Elsa?" Hans cracked voice came from the doorway of the kitchen. Elsa's eyes sprung open to see Hans watching from the doorway, his eyes wide and shocked but also sad. He turned away from them and ran the other way before he would do something he'd regret.

"No." Elsa whispered and pushed past Alan, picking up the bottom of her dress to run after him. "Hans!" She yelled and ran up the stairs to where his bedroom was. She came up to the door and tried pushing in but the door was locked tight. "Hans, please let me in!" She yelled and heard his footsteps pacing on the floorboards. "Hans, please. It's not what you think." She said and the door flung open, revealing Hans behind it.

"What was it then?" Hans asked, staring down at her.

"May I come in? I can talk to you about it." She said and he nodded. She walked in and sat down on the edge of his bed and stared up at him.

"What happened, Elsa?" He asked, shutting the door quickly then looked back at her.

"Hans, it was just a moment of weakness. I promise you that's all it was." Elsa said and watched from Hans bed as he paced the room in front of her.

"I don't understand what made you want to kiss my brother though." He said and looked at her briefly. "I don't think you realize how badly it hurt to see you both almost kiss."

"I feel that way sometimes with you and Anna. It hurts to think that she thought she loved you and now here we are."

"That doesn't matter now. We weren't truly in love and she knows that."

"And I don't love Alan or even like him." She said and watched as his face twisted with anger then sadness. "Hans, please believe me that it was nothing."

"Why were you going to kiss him then?"

"Because I wanted you and Alan was about as close as I could get to you in that moment. I was very upset about how you were acting earlier then the reminder of my parents. I loved the carnival but it just surfaced back memories."

"Elsa, you don't ever have to kiss anyone, especially Alan, because I'm not there for you." He said and stopped pacing. He walked over in front of Elsa and looked down at her. "I'm going to forgive you because I believe that it was nothing to you but please don't be alone with Alan anymore. I don't trust him."

"He was different tonight, very sweet actually. He seemed concerned about me."

"Notice that you said 'seemed'. He probably saw that you were upset and assumed that I was the cause of it so he swooped in, as usual. It's not that I don't think he cares about you but it's that constant game of having everything that I want."

"I really am sorry that it happened. I'm just happy that we didn't end up kissing."

"Me too. We haven't even kissed yet, it'd be upsetting if he kissed you before I did." He said and sat beside Elsa on the bed. "I'm just waiting for the kiss to be perfect because you're perfect. When I kiss you though I want you to see the emotion behind it."

"I'm sure I will." She smiled and scooted herself a little closer to him. "I think we should go get something to eat. I'm still really hungry."

"What if Alan is still down there?"

"We ignore him." She smiled and stood up from the bed, grabbing his hands and pulled him up with her. "I hope that everything is okay between us."

"It is... For me anyway." He smiled and bent down to kiss her cheek.
