They walked back out of the front doors and headed out towards the village and as they grew closer Elsa could hear all this commotion then bells ringing loudly then more cheering and yelling.

"What's going on?" Elsa asked and looked up at Hans who was smiling at her.

"It's a surprise." Hans said and they walked around the corner to where all the commotion came from. There were game stands, large carnival like tents and small stands that you could do little things like arts and crafts. It reminded her of a fair or carnival.

"This is for me?" Elsa smiled.

"Yes, I arranged for this. I figured that I'd let Arendelle enjoy it as well."

"Everyone loves it!" Elsa said and looked around at all the smiling faces. "Oh, thank you, Hans." Elsa said and flung her arms around his waist and hugged him. "You made everyone so happy."

"Elsa! How do you like it?" Anna's voice came from behind them. They turned around and saw Anna and Kristoff a few feet away, walking towards them.

"I thought you were visiting the trolls?" Elsa said and held a hand on her narrow hip.

"No, I told you that so you didn't figure out Hans surprise." Anna grinned. "This is like the carnival mom and dad took us to when we were little."

"It is." Elsa smiled and looked back at the carnival and all the fun people were having.

"Thank you guys for the help." Hans said and nodded his head at Kristoff then to Anna. "Please enjoy the carnival." He said and gestured towards where the whole carnival was.

"No problem at all. I'll do anything to see my sister happy." Anna smiled. Her and Kristoff walked ahead of them and stopped at a small ring toss throwing contest.

"This is perfect. Thank you so much." Elsa smiled but her smile started to disappear when she remembered all the fun she had with her parents and Anna at the carnival they went to.

"I was thinking maybe we could get our faces painted? Just to get ready for the whole carnival." Hans suggested but Elsa shrugged slightly. "Or something small?"

"What happened to our lunch plans?" She asked, trying to avoid the whole carnival.

"I wanted to have us enjoy the carnival? Is it too much?"

"No, no. It's not. It's just that the carnival reminds me of my parents... And it's just all..." She said and felt tears welling up in her eyes. She wiped them away quickly so Hans wouldn't see and plastered a smile on her face.

"Elsa, don't cry." He muttered to her and laid a hand on her shoulders. "We'll go back to the castle. The people of Arendelle can enjoy this."

"No, please let's have a day together. We haven't been able to spend much time together."

"Promise me that you'll cheer up."

"Okay." She smiled up at him. "I promise."

"Don't let your past memories ruin any more days. Let's make new memories that you can think about instead of all the bad memories that ruin the days like these. Besides,

I'm sure that your parents are looking down on us and smiling."

"Thank you, Hans." She smiled and kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you so much for being here with me and helping me through so much."
