Elsa finished off the invitations as quickly as she could with a little help of Anna's and was becoming extremely nervous to go on this date with Hans. Anna left early to leave with Kristoff into the mountains and waited nervously, attempting to draw her mind elsewhere and into a book until there were a few knocks that came from outside of the library door and small female voice piped up.
"Queen Elsa?" The lady asked, turning the doorknob.
"Yes? Come in." Elsa said and sat in her chair, feeling her hands slightly shake as she watched the small woman come in and presented a letter. "Oh, I thought that Hans sent you." She mumbled.
"No, ma'am. I'm sorry." She bowed and handed the letter to Elsa.
"Thank you." Elsa smiled and looked down at the letter. Scrawled across the folded front was 'Elsa', she unfolded the letter and a small smile spread across her face.
Good afternoon, my lady,
I do hope that this letter gets to you in time. Please meet me at the front of the castle, I'll be the handsome man standing near the fountains.
I'll be waiting and I can't wait to see you and have my day spent with you.She giggled at his silliness and laid the letter down on the desk and jumped up from her chair. She headed out of the room and skipped excitedly down the stairs and went up to the main doors. Once she saw two guards in front of the doors she straightened up, harboring her excitement and cleared her throat. Once again becoming Queen Elsa of Arendelle.
"Your highness," One of the guards said before opening the doors. "Prince Hans is waiting outside for you."
"Thank you very much. Please take a break soon, go have fun or treat yourself to a good lunch. The queen's orders." Elsa smirked and both of the guards laughed and opened the doors to the main courtyard.
"Thank you, Queen Elsa. Please enjoy your day." The first guard said and as Elsa walked out she saw Hans standing near the water fountain on the right. His auburn hair was even more red with the sunlight and Elsa noticed he was holding a bouquet of tulips. Elsa walked over to Hans quietly, she tapped his shoulder, making him turn around quickly, his eyes wide and frightened.
"You scared me." Hans admitted and calmed down once he saw it was Elsa. "These tulips are for you." He said and handed Elsa the multicolored bouquet of tulips.
"Oh, Hans. They're beautiful, thank you." She said and hugged him quickly. He smiled and held onto her with his hands on her waist, bringing her even closer to him. Any moment he could get with her was something he wanted to hold onto forever. They pulled away from their hug and stood there for a second just smiling at each other and appreciating this moment.
"I want to tell you something about these flowers and why I picked them specifically... Tulips to me represent beauty, uniqueness and love. You are very beautiful and special, like these flowers. I know that the prettiest of flowers die but my feelings for you won't ever fade or be changed." He suggested towards the flowers then brought his hand back down to his side.
"That was the sweetest thing. Thank you, Hans." She smiled and leaned up on her tiptoes and planted a soft kiss on his cheek. "Thank you so much."
"Shall we go to lunch?" He asked and grabbed her free hand, holding it tight.
"Should I leave my flowers at the castle so they're in a vase?" She asked, looking down at her flowers, admiring their beauty and meaning.
"Whatever you would like to do works for me." He said. She nodded and they started walking back to the castle. They opened the doors ad stepped in, Elsa noticed that the guards were already on their break and she hoped they were enjoying themselves. They walked into her library and retrieved an empty vase from one of the cabinets and walked into the washroom and filled it half way with water. Elsa sat it on her desk gently and smiled down at the flowers.
"Alright, let's go." Elsa said and intertwined her fingers with his.
