It had already been a few weeks since Hans arrival and everything seemed to be the same. Anna was still pregnant, Elsa was still keeping her feelings for Hans at bay and Hans had received a job working on the docks from the help of Kristoff.
Hans had actually mostly convinced everyone that he had changed with the small deeds he did like helping out people in need, helping clean the castle and just showing Elsa small, affectionate attention.

Elsa, Anna and Kristoff all sat around the dining table, quietly eating and keeping to themselves. Kristoff was thinking of how to expand his ice business in the winter, Anna was thinking of her expecting baby girl or boy and Elsa was thinking of the political problems that had recently come to her attention.
"Hi, everyone!" Hans said and bounced into the dining room, sitting beside Elsa.
"Hi." Kristoff said but the girls sat there staring down at their food. Anna was sitting there playing with her food, smiling to herself, but Elsa was just sitting there, staring down at her hands.
"I'll be right back." Elsa said and stood up abruptly, getting Anna's attention.
"Elsa?" Anna asked while she stormed out. "Hans? When did you get here?" Anna asked and looked at Hans briefly before he was up out of his seat and standing in the doorway.
"I just got here but I'll be back. I'm going to go find Elsa." Hans said and walked out of the dining room. "Elsa?" Hans called out, looking everywhere for Elsa but couldn't find her anywhere.
"The queen is in the restroom, Prince Hans." One of the staff members told him and pointed in the direction of a single door.
"May I go in to check on her?" Hans asked and didn't wait for her permission. He opened the door slowly and looked around and found Elsa hunched over a toilet vomiting. "Elsa!" Hans said and ran over to her, crouching down beside her. He pulled her hair out of the way and held it back for her gently. "What's the matter?"
"I-" She started to say but felt queasy again and threw up a little more in the toilet. "I feel so weak." She said quietly and collapsed into Hans chest.
"Someone help!" He yelled and picked Elsa up bridal style. He shifted her weight and grabbed a small towel and wiped her mouth clean. He then headed out of the bathroom and ran out towards the servant.
"What's happened to her?!" She asked and another one of the guards came over.
"Please get Princess Anna and Kristoff!" Hans demanded and looked down at Elsa. "She was throwing up in the toilet and passed out against me."
"Elsa!!!" Anna yelled and ran up to her. "What happened to her?"
"She passed out, she was throwing up too." Hans answered and looked at Kristoff. "She could be poisoned. Please take your sleigh and go get a doctor to take a look at her."
"I'll leave right now." Kristoff said and looked to Anna. "I'll be back in no time. I love you, stay with Elsa." He said and kissed her before he ran off. "She needs you."
"We should take her to her bedroom." Anna suggested to Hans. Hans nodded and they started walking up to where Elsa's bedroom was. They walked up to the bedroom door and Anna opened the door to Elsa's room, she stepped aside to let Hans through. He walked across the dark wooden floors and laid her down on top of her black comforter and stood beside her, watching her intently. He tried to take in every little detail of her, from her slightly pouty lips to her small nose to her long eyelashes and her eyelids colored red. She also had light freckles that speckled her rosy red cheeks.
"She's beautiful." Hans whispered while Anna readied the fire in Elsa's fireplace that was across the room from her bed.
"She is." Anna nodded and looked down at Elsa. "She looks like my mother."
"I hope she's okay." Hans said and sat down on the bed beside Elsa and held her hands in his.
"You really care about her, don't you?" Anna asked, a small smile forming across her lips while she watched Hans be affectionate towards Elsa.
"Of course." He nodded and looked at Anna then back to Elsa. "You know, between you and I, I've had nightmares of reliving that day... When I let you freeze and when I swung my sword at Elsa. I couldn't stop the dream from happening. I would wake up with my breathing ragged and almost crying. It's the worst experience ever, to keep reliving one of the worst moments of my life. I just wish I could take it all back."
"I know... But there's nothing any of us can do to change time but we all have forgiven you." Anna said and laid a hand of his shoulder. "I know that Elsa really cares for you and has forgiven you for what you did."
"That's all I've ever really wanted since I came here."
"Do you think you love her?"
"I don't know, honestly. I don't want to love her and not have her love me back. She's so hard to read sometimes."
