Hans came back into her room a few minutes later and told Elsa that the soup would be here at any time.
"Thank you." Elsa said and shivered under her blankets.
"It's no problem at all... Are you okay? You're shivering."
"I- I'm okay." She stuttered through her shivers. She closed her eyes tightly then attempted to snuggle even deeper into the bed and blankets.
"Elsa." Hans said and sat beside her on the bed. "May I join you?" He asked awkwardly. "To warm you up, of course." He added.
"Mhm." Elsa whimpered and he lifted the blanket off of her. He pulled himself closer to her and brought Elsa up onto his chest then threw the blanket back over themselves.
"Better?" He asked, resting his head on the top of Elsa's. He took in every second he could of this moment. Elsa was snuggled up beside him, about as close as they could get, and all he could take in was Elsa. The smell of her hair was intoxicatingly beautiful and when her chest would rise and fall while she took long breaths happened to settle his frazzled mind.
"Yes, it's perfect." Elsa whispered, snuggling closer to him and laying her head on his chest so she could take in everything about him. His arms were wrapped protectively around her and his thumb was gliding back and forth across her shoulder. His breathing was short and ragged, like he was nervous. "Do I make you nervous?" Elsa asked, she pulled away from him a little so she could look at him.
"A little bit." He confessed. He grabbed her and pulled her back to his chest gently. "You need to stay warm. The ice queen herself shouldn't feel the cold."
"You're just like Anna... So protective." Elsa mumbled into his chest. His chest itself was rock hard but when she laid her head on him his chest became soft like a pillow.
"That's a good thing. Having someone protect and love you isn't a bad thing at all. Especially if you have two people who are like that." Hans said and kissed the top of Elsa's hair.
"Hans?" Elsa said after laying on his chest for awhile in the quiet of her room. "Will you stay here with me?"
"Yes, I will." Hans nodded and out of sudden urge Hans shifted himself to where Elsa was at his level, he tilted her head to look up at him and stared into her deep, icy blue eyes. "Your eyes are absolutely fascinating."
"Thank you." She whispered. His hand laced into her hair and cradled the back of her skull. "Hans." She whispered, her heartbeat was going a thousand miles a second and she could see that his was the same.
"Please, can I kiss you?" He whispered against her lips, they were so close to each other but her lips were trembling and seemed so warm. "Elsa, I want your permission, please."
"Elsa!!!" Olaf yelled and bursted into her bedroom. Hans untangled himself from her quickly but Elsa was already ahead of him and pushed him away and he fell off of the bed and landed hard on the floor with a thud.
"Ouch!" Hans yelled and laid there for a second.
"I have your soup!" Olaf said, grinning widely while he pushed in a small wooden cart that had a bowl of soup on top of it. He was completely oblivious to what just happened with Elsa and Hans. He parked the cart beside Elsa's bed and looked up at Elsa. She was sitting up in bed and smiled awkwardly at Olaf and wouldn't look over to Hans.
Hans stood up from the cold floor and scratched his head, he looked over to Elsa momentarily then back to Olaf.
"Thank you, Olaf, for bringing her soup." Hans said and Olaf smiled at him. "I'll be leaving now. I have things to take care of." Hans muttered and walked around the bed and slipped out of the bedroom.
