Meanwhile Arendelle was peaceful and calm but uneasy without Elsa's company. Anna was lonely and her hormones were raging against her, Kristoff was in the mountains retrieving ice and Hans noticed that he began missing Elsa. Hans sat uncomfortably in a black, leather chair, beginning to drift into sleep in his bedroom.
"Hans?" Kristoff's voice came from the doorway.
"Yes?" Hans head popped up, resting his chin on his hand to stay awake.
"Anna needs you in the conference room. There are a few people here from the council."
"Has Elsa returned?" Hans asked, standing up from the chair. He straightened out his clothes and fixed his black boots.
"No, not yet." Kristoff shook his head, his blonde hair ruffling around his head.
They walked down to the conference room together, making small talk, and when they arrived at the door Kristoff opened it first. He walked over to Anna and laid his hands on her shoulders.
"Hello, everyone." Hans said and took a seat near a smaller, older man. "I was told I was needed."
"Yes, actually," Anna started and cleared her throat. "The council members say that Arendelle is in need of a king if Elsa dies and someone needs to take over Arendelle. They gave Elsa the options of either marrying a man of her choice or finding suitors... But if she doesn't want to be married she has to give up the throne to me and I'll become the queen. I don't want to take the throne from Elsa but I don't want her to be married when she doesn't want to."
"I say we leave the choice up to Elsa." Hans said, thinking up all of the options in his head. She could marry Hans if she had any feelings for him or she could find a suitor and be married to him. "She'll only be upset if we decide for her."
"I agree." Anna said and smiled at Hans. "Thank you for your opinion."
"That could work but when will your queen be home? She can't just disappear like this!" A man with grayish hair, deep, empty black eyes stood up angrily. "She isn't very responsible for a queen. You would be a better candidate for a queen than Elsa." The man said to Anna and sat down angrily.
"Excuse me." A guard said from the doorway. "Queen Elsa has arrived from Trasyn and is awaiting your presence, Princess Anna and Prince Hans."
"Thank you, Cedric." Anna smiled and he nodded and shut the door behind him. "I think this meeting is over now. I will talk to Elsa about her options and what you have said."
"When should we return to hear of her news?" The angry man asked.
"When you receive word of Elsa's decision." Anna snapped. "I'm not talking anymore of this. I'm too pregnant to be so stressed out. Now, good night." Anna said and stood up with difficulty. She arranged her dress around her belly and looked to Hans. "I think you should come with me. You'll soften the blow."
