Elsa sat quietly in the main living room of the castle, spending alone time and reading another one of her books.
"Queen Elsa." A female servant, Alexa, bowed in front of Elsa and held a small letter for her. "This is from the Southern Isles. Prince Hans has requested me to give it to you now."
"Oh." She nodded and sat her book down beside her, slightly bending the top corner of the page. "Thank you, Alexa." Elsa smiled and took the letter.
"It's no problem at all, my lady." She smiled and curtsied in front of Elsa then left her to read the letter.
Queen Elsa,
It has come from the news of my brother, Alan, that Princess Anna is pregnant and expecting the child at any time. I have been told that you will be throwing a ball once the child is born and I'm looking forward to my family and I coming. I have also heard of the marriage situation you are going through and I have plenty of suitors from the Southern Isles that I will gladly bring for you.
Once we come to Arendelle for the ball we will take both Alan and Hans back to the Southern Isles with us.
Thank you for inconveniences we have bestowed upon you.
King Leo of the Southern Isles
Elsa sighed and sat the letter down, becoming irritated and closed her eyes tight. She didn't understand Alan at all, he was frustrating, manipulating and yet charming, he told Leo what was going on and who knows what other things he's told them about? She sighed again and just wanted to be done with all these petty situations.
"That wasn't a happy sigh." Hans voice came from the doorway across the room.
"No," She said. She opened her eyes up at him briefly and shut them again. "It wasn't."
"What's wrong?" He asked. Elsa could hear his heavy boots coming across the room and felt his weight on the couch beside her. "Elsa, sweetheart, please tell me what's wrong." He said soothingly and wrapped an arm around her shoulder.
"Your brother decided to open his mouth and tell Leo what's going on here. He needs to leave." She said and looked up at him, her eyes glowing in the dim light.
"I know. I want him gone just as bad as you do... You know what? From now on I'll have the letters he wants to be sent out sent to me. I'll read them and if they're exploiting what is going on in your life or anyone of Arendelle then I will toss them out."
"You promise?"
"Yes, of course. I don't want my brother telling business that isn't his."
"I have bad news though... Leo plans on taking you and Alan back to the Southern Isles when they leave Arendelle after the ball."
"I won't just let them take me? I don't want to leave you." He said and groaned, laying his head onto the top of hers.
"I don't want you to leave either but Leo might not give you a choice."
"Leo doesn't run my life, Elsa. I do. I will not be told to return to the Southern Isles when I would like to stay here." He said softly. "With you." He added and squeezed her closer to him. "It's getting late and I don't want to end tonight on a bad note." He sighed and closed his eyes. All he wanted to do was hold her like this forever but sadly the night overruled that. "Let's get some sleep, Elsa."
"I'd rather just lay here with you." She whispered.
"You need your rest for tomorrow. We'll have a big day ahead of us if we plan to go to lunch still."
"I do want to but I'll be okay on a few hours of sleep." She pleaded and turned her face to him. "I'll be okay, please Hans."
"Oh, Elsa." He said and cupped the underneath of her chin. "What am I going to do with you?" He smirked and adjusted her in his lap, he kissed the top of the forehead and held her bridal style in his arms. "Let's get you to sleep." He said and pushed himself off of the couch and began walking her out of the living room and through the castle with Elsa snuggled against his chest.
