Elsa closed her mother's journal and stared deep into the fire. It was strange for her to read her mother's journal entries and to hear her side of the story.
"Elsa?" Hans spoke up and Elsa looked up, not realizing he was standing there. He stepped around the front of her chair and kneeled down. "The storm's calmed down."
"That's good." Elsa nodded and gave him a small smile. "Anna found my mother's journal. It's pretty emotional reading this."
"What did they say?" Hans asked. "If you don't mind me knowing."
"She wrote about my magic and the accident with Anna when she was young. I read her last entry... It was right before she left for Rapunzel's wedding in Corona." She whispered. "I don't want to talk about this please."
"We don't have to then but I would like to talk about what Silas said this morning." He said and stood up, taking a seat where Anna sat a little bit ago. Today felt like the longest day yet, Elsa thought and actually said it out loud. "I agree." Hans said and racked up exactly what has happened today. "Silas passed then this storm."
"It's felt even longer for me. I've been cooped up in our bedroom." Elsa said. "Plus, I had to start a fire. I think the baby was cold."
"Silas said he hopes you can protect yourself and the baby from my father. I haven't seen him all day either."
"I haven't seen him in days. It's really scary that I have to have guards stationed outside of our bedroom because I don't feel safe." Elsa complained. "In my own castle I don't feel safe." Elsa snapped and felt completely angry with the whole situation.
"Please calm down for the baby." Hans said and leaned across, holding her hands and immediately she calmed down. "Now that we know my father has been attempting to take the throne we can accuse him of treason."
"I don't think that'll even do much. We don't have solid proof and he won't admit it."
"I have been thinking all day and I'd like you to go to the honeymoon house. While you're there I'll confront my father so he isn't able to hurt you." Hans suggested and looked down at his feet, feeling nervous that Elsa and their baby could be hurt.
"When would this happen?" Elsa asked.
"Sometime soon before he can have the upper hand and come out of nowhere." He said and twiddled his thumbs, trying to think of when the perfect time could be. "I say we plan this out better tomorrow then act on what we've decided." He said. "But we can't tell anyone, not even Anna."
"I won't tell anyone." She said and stifled a yawn, feeling a small pain in her belly. "The baby's been active today. It's been three months now." Elsa smiled up at Hans. "Six months to go. I'm counting down for sure."
"It's been a fast three months." Hans said, standing from his chair and crossed over to Elsa. He offered his hand out to Elsa and she took it happily. He pulled her up into his arms and held her face between his hands, he pulled her into a long, deep kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck and he placed his hands on her hips, he softly began pushing her back towards their bed and once she reached the bed at the back of her knees she sat down. He smiled down at her and decided to sit down beside her, taking her hand in his.
"I love you." She said and laid her head against his shoulder. She smiled after he said he loved her too and let out a small sigh. "We should get to sleep. It's been a really long day."
"I agree." He said. They were both far too tired to change out of their clothes and into pajamas so they just removed their shoes and tucked themselves under their covers to fall into a deep sleep.
