"Are you ready?" Hans popped his head into Elsa's door as she was trying to button up the back of her tight, long green dress. "I'll help you." He smiled and came over to her and pulled the dress sides tight together and started buttoning the dress up. "There you go." He smiled and turned her around to face him. "You look beautiful." He said and kissed her quickly. "Where did you get that necklace?" He asked and pointed to her necklace around her neck.
"You look handsome yourself and Alan gave it to me." Elsa smiled and looked down at his outfit. He was wearing his black boots that went up to his knees, royal blue pants and a light gray shirt that hung loosely on his body. "Who do you think your guests are?" Elsa asked and fixed her hair into a braid and tossed it over her shoulder. They left her room together and were walking down the main steps to the throne room where the guests were probably waiting.
"No clue, maybe my family?" He said and shrugged. "They could have came early."
"My friend Laila is coming with your family." She said.
"Laila?" He asked, his expression unreadable.
"Yes, she's the queen of Trasyn now." She muttered outside of the open doors to the throne room.
"How do you know Laila? Elsa, I know Laila." He said urgently and sounded scared and worried.
"She was my friend when we were younger. How do you know her?" She asked and gave him a skeptical look.
"Hans!" A girl yelled and across the room came a girl hurling herself at Hans. She was darker haired with a light almond skin tone and she grasped Hans like he was her life line. "My, my. Arendelle has changed my man." She said and stood back, looking Hans up and down. "You ditched the royal threads, I see. Your mother will be disappointed." She said and looked over to Elsa. "Elsa, dear!" She said and hugged Elsa tightly. "You've changed so much. You're very pretty. Not as pretty as me but hey, I've always been ahead of you." She laughed and winked at her.
"Nice to see you again." Elsa said and glared at her. Now she remembered again the negative in Laila, she was always saying that she was ahead of everyone and always much better then everyone. She was very beautiful and a different beautiful but on the inside she was a horrible, conniving person. She looked behind Laila to see Alan standing there smugly staring at Elsa.
"Hans, sweetie, come and see your brothers and your parents." Laila beamed and grabbed his hands, dragging him over to the large group of people. Elsa looked over at Anna and walked over quickly trying to calm herself down.
"What is with Laila? Why is she all over Hans?" Elsa whispered to Anna and watched as Hans went around hugging every single person in the group.
"I have no clue." Anna said and watched Laila. "I don't remember her being so... bitchy." Anna muttered.
"I do. You were too little to remember. I just don't like that she's all over him right in front of me."
"Maybe she doesn't know you two are engaged?"
"Well, I want to tell his whole family at some point tonight if he doesn't. I think I need to get out of this castle. Would you like to have a sister day while Hans is with his family?"
"Yeah, I need out of the castle too. I don't know where we'll go but we'll leave. Kristoff's working up in the mountains so we'll have to take the babies."
"That's fine." Elsa nodded and looked down at the bottom of her dress. "Let's go now before anyone even notices us leaving." She said and they left the room together quickly but before Elsa exited she looked over to see Hans staring at her wide-eyed and seemed confused.
Elsa and Anna walked out of the castle gates a little after their escape and they had dressed the babies in outfits to suite the hot weather. Elsa and Anna each pushed a carriage with a baby down the concrete bricks into town.
"We could go dress shopping? Or baby clothes shopping?" Elsa said and kept her head up while they got close into town.
"Or wedding dress shopping?" Anna said and watched as Elsa's expression dropped. "You are still going married to him, right?"
"Well, of course. I just want to figure out what happened between him and Laila. He did tell me that there was a girl that loved him but he never loved her back."
"Then maybe that's Laila and in her head they're still a thing?"
"Maybe." She shrugged. "Let's not talk about anything dealing with that. I just want to spend time away from castle matters and spend time with my little sister." She smiled and nudged Anna. "Ooh! I want to get a few paintings for the castle." Elsa said once she saw a small shop that had paintings and antiques on display.
They walked into the shop with the children and were immediately greeted by a very tall older man who was wearing a long, black cape and ratty clothing.
"Good day." The man said before turning around to see Elsa and Anna staring around the store. "Oh! My heavens, your Majesty and Princess Anna! Good day to you both." He said and smiled at them warmly. "What could I help you two ladies out with?"
"I was looking for paintings for the castle." Elsa said and smiled at him
"Oh, yes, of course. We have quite a large selection of paintings in the main store, ma'am but if none of these are pleasing to your eye then I do have a large selection in the back of my shop."
"Yes." Elsa nodded and looked around the store. "I think we'll take a look at these and if we don't find any then of course we'll look at your others." Elsa said and smiled at him.
"Yes, yes. Of course, ma'am." He said and grinned widely at them. "Princess Anna, congratulations on the birth of your beautiful children."
"Thank you." Anna smiled at him and looked down at them. They were both sound asleep in their carriages. "What type of paintings do you want?" Anna asked Elsa while they pushed around the carriages through out the store.
"Anything to really spruce the place up." She said and pointed up at a painting of a lighthouse sitting near an ocean. "That's very pretty." She said and looked at another one next to it. It was a painting of a vase full of purple, yellow and orange flowers. It was very calming and the paint looked smooth. "Sir?" Elsa said and looked over to the shop owner. "I'll take these two paintings." She said and picked up the lighthouse painting and the vase full of flowers painting. "Maybe I'll put these in Hans and my bedroom." She said to Anna and took them over to pay for them.
