"So," Elsa said and looked over at Hans nervously. They were in the main family room of the castle with the fireplace burning brightly. Elsa and Hans stood near the fireplace and Anna and Kristoff were sitting on the floor playing with the babies. It was much later that day, after supper, than what they had anticipated on telling Anna and Kristoff. They just couldn't find a right time to interject their news until now. "I- We have news." Elsa said and Anna's head popped up and her eyes were wide.

"You're not pregnant are you?!" Anna asked. "Elsa, I just had children and believe me, you want to wait on having children."

"No, no, no. Anna, I'm not pregnant!" Elsa said quickly and looked over at Hans, desperately getting him to help her explain.

"Last night," Hans started and smiled at Elsa as if to say he had the situation. "I asked Elsa to marry me and she said yes. We're engaged now." Hans smiled and grabbed Elsa's hand.

"What?" Anna asked and looked between Elsa and Hans.

"That's not the reaction I expected." Elsa whispered and her faced dropped but she was immediately taken by surprise when Anna's arms wrapped around her body quickly.

"Oh, Elsa! I'm so happy for you!" Anna grinned and pulled away, holding her sister's hands. "Do you have a ring? This is all so sudden." Anna said and stared up at Hans.

"We don't need a ring yet." Elsa said, not giving Hans a chance to answer. "We can go into town tomorrow and pick one from the jeweler who did mother's wedding ring." Elsa said and smiled at Anna. "And I know it's sudden but I do need a husband because of the council and we'll learn more about each other through our marriage."

"Are you happy?" Anna asked and rolled her eyes at herself. "Silly me. Of course you're happy. This is the happiest I've ever seen you been." Anna said and laughed lightly. "I'm so happy for you two." Anna said and went back to Kristoff and the babies.

"Congratulations, guys." Kristoff said and smiled at Elsa and Hans.

"Thank you." Elsa smiled and looked up to Hans.

"The welcoming ball is about four days away now. We should start to get the decorations and food together for it." Anna said and picked up Mia and pretended to fly her around in the air, making Mia have belly giggles. "I love my babies." She said and sat Mia in her lap.

"We'll have everything be done by the servants with the party. We only have to worry about greeting everyone." Elsa said and smiled down at her niece and nephew.

"Elsa," Hans whispered into her ear and she looked up at him. "Would you like to take a walk with me?"

"Sure." Elsa smiled and linked her arm through his. "We're going to go on a walk. I'll see you guys later." She said and they left the castle and headed through the courtyard. "How come we came for a walk?"

"It's nice outside, is all." Hans shrugged and kept his hands in pockets, feeling a small engagement ring box jingling lightly in his pocket.

They arrived at a water fountain and Elsa stood at the edge and stuck her hand out and skimmed the cold water.

"Elsa." Hans said and he grabbed her hand. She turned to look at him and saw him standing in front of her and down on one knee.

"Hans." Elsa whispered. Tears formed in her eyes and she continued holding his hand while he retrieved a small black engagement ring box from his pants pocket. He let go of her hand and opened the box revealing Elsa's mother's wedding ring. "My mother's ring?"

"Anna gave it to me."

"She knew the whole day that we were engaged?"

"No, no. She knew I was going to ask but didn't know it was last night... But Elsa," He said and still held up the ring in the box. "Will you marry me?"

"Yes! Of course I will." Elsa smiled and he stood up quickly and took the ring out of the engagement ring box.

"Your hand, please." He smiled and she gave him her left hand and he slipped it onto her ring finger. "I wanted to officially ask you with a ring. I planned on doing it tomorrow but when you said you loved me I just thought it was a perfect time to ask, you know?"

"Mhm." Elsa smiled and leaned up to kiss him. "This means so much to me that this is my mother's ring and that you're going to be my husband."

"I love you." He said and kissed her again. "Can I take you to bed? I want to carry you." He said and smiled.

"Carry me?" She asked and furrowed her eyebrows.

"Bridal style." He shrugged. "I don't have to." He smiled and held her hand. "Let's go to bed, okay?" He asked and lead her through the courtyard. "What do you think of making love?" He asked awkwardly.

"Um, I know of it and what exactly happens but I'm still a virgin, Hans."

"I know." He smiled at her sheepishly and squeezed her hand. "What would you think if I asked you to make love to me tonight?"

"Hm... Well, you'll be my husband soon enough so I would say yes." She smiled and blushed from embarrassment.

"Would you then?" He asked and cleared his throat awkwardly. "Like to make love to me?"

"I see making love as something that happens when we're in that moment. It's not really something we have to plan, is it?"

"No, it's not. I just want your permission if we do get to that level with each other."

"You have my permission then." She smiled and kissed him quickly while walking back to the castle.
