Heated Ice (Helsa)

Chapter 107:

A/N: This chapter will be only the journal entries left by Elsa's mother, I've named her Grace since she doesn't officially have a name. If you'd like to skip this chapter, that's fine. This chapter will be pretty short but to me the journal entries will dig pretty deep at Elsa and Anna, plus they'll finally read their mother's perspective on Elsa's situation growing up.

Journal Entry #6

Today was the third time Elsa had shown Anna her magic, or curse as their father would say. My little Anna absolutely loved her magic without a doubt and has asked us many times why she can't have 'snowman powers' like Elsa. Elsa has made many things with her powers, small ice forts, many snowman that have all been named Olaf, and even froze over the lake so they could ice skate. Their father thinks it's a bad idea to have Elsa play and toy around with her magic but I believe she can only grow with her powers if she can play with them.

Journal Entry #12

My dear Elsa,

This journal entry is for only you to read. You've been growing with your powers and have quickly learned that you can cheer your sister up with them.

Your father and I have spoken about your powers, or curse, and he fears the worst. A few times you've slipped up and hit Anna with chunks of ice but never intentionally hurt her. I think you can grow with your powers but your father might have other plans to help hone in your powers. I hope I can talk some sense into your father so you can help better your powers.

I love you very much, Elsa.

Journal Entry #27

My sweet girls are growing very fast and as time has passed we've come to the decision of trying to restrict Elsa back on her powers. Just recently she has struck Anna accidentally on her head, causing a white strip of color to grow in her hair. The mountain troll said Anna was lucky it was not her heart and that the heart is not so easily changed, he also removed her memories of Elsa's magic but kept her memories of having fun in the snow with Elsa. The mountain troll spoke to Elsa and has told her there is beauty and danger in her magic, that she has to learn to control it and fear will be her enemy.

We have decided to attempt to help her control her powers by limiting her contact with people and to keep her magic a secret from everyone, even Anna. I'm afraid that this will only harm Elsa and make her fear her powers, and fear is her enemy.

Journal Entry #45

I have not written in sometime now, but I suppose that since I'd like my children to read this that I should give them some sort of update. Elsa is now 12 years of age while Anna is almost 9 years of age. It has been four years since the accident with them and Elsa's control hasn't improved. She has been given white gloves to wear and they've helped to conceal her powers but even when she's at her lowest point the gloves can't conceal her powers. She's still in fear she'll hurt Anna or even her father and I, I can't stand to see her upset like this but there's not much that we can do but hope the gloves will help. I do hope in time that her powers will calm and finally she'll be able to have contact with Anna and the kingdom. I hope when that time does come she feels free and will never have to conceal her emotions, fears or her magic anymore.

Journal Entry #62

I suppose that I should try to keep up with my journal so Elsa and Anna know what's been happening. Elsa is now 18 years of age and stepping closer and closer to being able to rule Arendelle when my husband and I pass away. Anna is 15 years of age and the happiest woman I believe I have ever met. Elsa has not learned to contain her powers but she has improved, she's a very quiet girl and enjoys reading her books. Anna is very outgoing and loves to go around the castle humming whatever melody can pop into her head, I only wish everyone had her optimism. I won't have my journal for a few days as we're leaving for a wedding of my niece's, Rapunzel. I think the wedding will be lovely and Rapunzel will make a beautiful bride. I wish my sweet girls could come with us but some amount of royal blood would have to stay in Arendelle while we're away. I will have all the details of the wedding, Anna and Elsa, when I come back from Corona. I love you girls with every inch of my being.
