Elsa walked out of Snowflake's Place with her arms folded across her chest, feeling somewhat upset the way Hans was acting towards her. It was all just a bit too much, the carnival only reminded her of how much she missed her parents, Hans was being rude and somewhat overbearing. She sniffled quietly, trying to stifle the tears back but was failing.

She walked up into the castle's main doors and headed toward the kitchen. She wasn't sure how to make all the fine meals they were served but she could make something little.

"Queen Elsa?" Alan's voice popped up from behind her when she was nearing the kitchen. She turned to him and smiled weakly.

"I thought you were in the infirmary?" She asked him.

"Yes, I was but the doctor said that I'm fine now." He nodded and walked up beside her and followed into the kitchen. "What are you doing in here? Anna said that you and Hans were going out to dinner."

"I was- um, we were going to go out to dinner but the place was crowded and we wouldn't have been able to eat for an hour. Hans got angry and told me to come back to the castle so here I am." She said and gestured towards the kitchen. "Except, I don't know really know how to cook much... Just pasta or sandwiches."

"I know how to cook! I was taught in the Southern Isles by the head cook there. Would you like to help me cook a meal for us?"

"I'd love to learn." She smiled and watched as he worked his way through the cupboards, finding the ingredients that he needed and set them all on the countertop.

"Okay, so, can you chop the onions into little bits?" He asked, placing a cutting board on the counter then laid a knife on it and a purple colored onion.

"Oh. Sure." She said and walked over to the cutting board and picked up the knife and looked at the onion for a second. She wasn't sure how to start cutting it.

"Elsa, dear, you have to peel the onion first." He smiled and pulled out a large pan for the noodles.

"Oh! Right." She smiled and picked up the onion and started peeling off the first layer. "Now what?"

"I'll help you start." He said and walked over to her. He picked up the knife in one hand and onion in the other and laid it on the cutting board. He cut one sliver off of the side and laid that side flat on the cutting board. "From there you can just start cutting in rows... But don't take it too fast and please, don't cut yourself." He smiled and left her to cut the onion.

Elsa picked up from where he left off and began to actually enjoy cutting up the onion, it was relaxing and took her mind off of things.
