*just a warning, this chapter is longer than normal. Just in case you don't have a lot of time to finish it :) anyways, enjoy :3*
Hans and the three guards climbed off their horses cautiously at the ice castle's stables. Hans already had caught them up and admitted he killed his father but wasn't sure where Laila was. She seemed to disappear during their fight.
"We should watch. She's wielding a knife and I'm not sure what else. If my father is still alive we need to be careful. He's ruthless and will do anything if he thinks he'll win." Hans warned and kicked open the glass doors, immediately warned with Laila's crying coming from upstairs. She must've found Henry while they were gone. "Come on," Hans said and motioned for the guards to follow. They climbed up the stairs towards the scene and from where Hans stood he could see Laila's flowing brown hair falling down her back facing away from them and was clutched over his body. "Laila," Hans said and she turned around, her hands were covered in his blood and Hans knew he was dead, one less threat to worry about.
"Oh, Hans." She said and stood up, running over to hug him but he stopped her, watching for a knife or any weapon. "Hans?" She asked, completely dumbfounded that he stopped her. "I didn't know he would've taken it this far! I didn't want to hurt her but he would've killed Elsa and I both."
"Please, step back." One of the guards said and Laila looked at Hans, still dumbfounded. Hans nodded to the guard to take her out of the room for their safety.
"I won't hurt him!" Laila said as one of the guards took her into custody, removing her from the room. Hans sighed quietly and looked over to his father, his eyes were closed and his blood stained the floor. He knelt down in front of him, reaching out to touch his shoulder but pulled back.
"I'm sorry this had to happen." Hans whispered and pushed up off of the cold floor, feeling the blood on his shirt starting to seep to his skin. "I would like Laila taken back to Trasyn. She is no longer welcome in Arendelle and I'll have that put in writing." He said to the closest guard to him but he wasn't paying attention, he was staring down at Henry and then saw Hans' sword covered in blood on the ground.
"What would you like to happen to your... Uh, Henry." The guard said and awkwardly coughed, grabbing at his hilt and still stared down at Henry.
"Please take him to... I don't know. Are there any places where a man can clean him up?" Hans asked and the guard nodded.
"Yes, sir. We can do it at the castle." He said and looked back at the other guard. "Let's prop him up on my horse and take him back to the castle. Your Majesty, will you be coming with us?"
"Yes," Hans said and watched as the men picked his father up, carrying him between their arms and Hans followed behind them while they walked through the castle.
Outside Laila was on the other guard's horse with him in control of the reins, the other two guards managed to put his father up onto a horse while Hans climbed up onto his own.
"Hans!" Alan yelled. Hans turned and saw Alan riding up the mountain with a note in his hands, waving it around in the air. "Hans!" He yelled and rode up beside Hans' horse, looking over to see his father on the horse. "Elsa, she- she wrote you a note. What happened?" Alan asked, looking over at their father then at Laila, her makeup was smeared down her cheeks like she was crying.
"I'll explain when we get back to the castle. I need to get to Elsa."
"She's here? It's in her note." Alan said and handed it over to Hans, he quickly glanced over it and placed it in his pocket.
"We have to go back to the castle. Let's go." He said to the guards and kicked his heels, having his horse go into a sprint with the rest of the group riding fast behind him.
