Chapter 10
The next day... Spanish class...
Clark and I didn't have a super in depth conversation last night in our emails. He was actually really vague as to why he didn't stop by after school to get the grade for the presentation. I mean both of us are thrilled with the grade, but I wish we were both there at the same time to receive it. I think I'm overwhelming him a little bit, but he's being so secretive for no damn reason. I'm not one who's keen on playing a lot of games so you can obviously sense my frustration here. To prevent an argument from sprouting about I just nod and "hmm" to what little he tells me. The one miraculous event that happened last night was he gave me his number in the final email of the night. That's the only thing keeping my from entirely loosing my shit.
Presentations continue today throughout class and our "conversation" comes to a halt. Surprisingly, I'm not saddened by it. Today's been a rough day for me and I don't need any more shit to contribute to worsening it further.
That evening...
My parents are actually super peppy for once after a long day of work, which a little unusual. They must have some news or something. "What's going on? You both are hardly ever cheerful after work. I'm assuming you have news. Am I correct?", I ask raising an eyebrow. Both of my parents nod and my dad reveals the news, that being that both of them got raises at work, which means more money for us. I put on a smile for their sake. "That's so great. I'm so happy for the both of you." They hug me and give me kisses on the cheek. I decide to keep mu frustrations from school today to myself. The last thing I want to be right now is be a party pooper and rain on their parade.
Hey guys! So I have some problems going on at work that are stressing me out a bit along with several events to attend to as well as work on top of that them the next few days so I might not be updating as regularly. On top of that, I'm hoping to start my Maui X Tamatoa fanfic too. <3 -Mary
